Le Maiella, restaurant élégant et décontracté situé sur le pittoresque front de mer de Long Island, sert des spécialités italiennes traditionnelles revisitées, préparées avec les ingrédients les plus frais. Small portions for the prices. Didn’t like that we had to wait for our the last person to arrive before being seated. Seating was for party of 5 and 4 of us arrived together, my brother was coming from upstate. We waited 30 min before being seated. He doesn’t even eat appetizers …

Good food but terrible service. All 3 items I ordered were completely incorrect. The waitress missheard my entree, despite me pointing to it, and i had to awkwardly eat alone after my friends had finished their food. My second glass of wine was not even CLOSE to the correct wine I ordered but I was still charged the extra $5 for it. I didn’t bother even complaining about this after the entree ordeal. Even the dessert was the wrong dessert and the waitress gave me a death glare when my friends said it was wrong. After all of this, you would expect a sincere apology or maybe one of the drinks or dessert taken off, but nothing. Immensely poor service for a spot that wants to be fancy.

Eduardo and the team at Maiella are great! Our group of 7 came here for the first time for my mother's birthday. We were greeted warmly, and every need was attended to courteous care. Also, the ambiance is absolutely wonderful. I'll have to come back during the day to sit in the backyard patio. Overall, a wonderful evening.

All I Can Say Is Outstanding. The Occasion Was my Wifes birthday. I First set An Appointment On May 2Nd 2024 Party Of 6. Gazelle At The Restaurant Who Took The reservation Was outstanding And made this special occasion Great For My family. The Food Was Superb. The Staff Was Exceptional. Our experience Was So Outstanding We Booked Another Reservation In 2 weeks. This is a hidden Treasure. Dennis Long Beach NY

I chose this place based on most reviews and what I saw listed about the restaurant ambience. This was for my 24th year anniversary so I wanted a nice place to go with great good. Unfortunately, Maeilla was a disappointment. The place is nice and the view is as well, however, if you list a dress code "smart casual", then people wouldn't expect to see t-shirts, jeans, sweats, baseball caps etc. Just not put a dress code then. The music was low key club music. Doesn't even fit a Sunday dinner vibe. The waiter looked like he didn't want to be there. The view is great, but how do you have a table for 2 where one person's back is to it? All in all ambience decreased points. I could have overlooked that if the food and drinks were top notch as all these 5 star reviews said. But again disappointed. I know Italian restaurants that charge half those prices and have better tasting food. Rather overhyped. The namesake cocktail included a large block of ice? Don't know who thought that was an interesting concept but no. The drinks was watered down and rather flavorless for the price. So all in all Maeilla was a no for me.

Went for dinner, 4 of us. menu was very limited, certain items on limited menu were not available. waitress/mgr not helpful, not accommodating. was billed for item not ordered, reversed upon disputing it. Been at this rest before and had better experience, not this time.

My second at Maiella. I decided to try again here after my first experience wasn’t so great. Ambiance was great and the food was fresh and well made.
