Bringing all-day brunch and grab-and-go coffee to Normal Heights, Madi is the upcoming daytime counterpart to Madison on Park, the well-established mid-century modern restaurant and bar that opened in University Heights in 2015.

Offering a quick-service coffee counter fueled by Heartwork Coffee out of Mission Hills that’ll feature the full range of espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and tea as well as fresh pastries, Madi will also be an anytime option for sit-down breakfasts, mimosa-powered brunches, and casual lunches.

Its breakfast menu ranges from waffle churro sticks and breakfast burritos to skirt steak eggs Benedict and a variety of pancakes based on a 60-year-old recipe from Madison co-owner Matthew, whose family runs a century-old breakfast spot in the midwest.

Lunch will hinge on build-your-own grain and salad bowls along with lettuce wraps, ceviche, a burger, and a classic Tuna Melt!

Great brunch spot. The food was different than most places, only a few traditional items on the menu, but everything was very good. This is not a quiet place. Be prepared for having to yell to anyone across from you.

Decided to take my son out to Madi as our bounding and made reservations for us 2 at 9:30am and since it was a weekday it wasn’t busy as all with lots of empty tables. Didn’t really appreciate how my son and I were seated to a far back corner by the bathrooms with so much seating everywhere else. I did bring up the situation but I still don’t think being placed there in the first place was the smartest. I also was disappointed that the restaurant overall took away the children menu I really would appreciate if you would bring those back not just for me but for other families as well.

Food is Excellent. They do change their menu seasonally, so some of my favorites like the Montecristo sandwich and the eggs Benedict were not available, but their GOAT breakfast sandwich is incredible. My friend said their chicken fried steak was the best they ever had.

Dining at Madi is always delightful. Excellent food, great ambiance! The Mediterranean breakfast is the best! The customer service is top notch. Kiyomi usually takes my order. She always make me feel welcome, even on a busy Sunday morning, with her kind words and cheerful smile.

Myself and 2 friends went Sunday. Banana bread coffee was really good. It did take about 10-15mins to get and it was warm, not hot. I ordered a single blackberry and goat cheese pancake and a corned beef hash plate. The pancake was good but not hot. My corned beef has was warm but my potatoes and scrambled eggs were cold by the time I got my food, which took about 15-20 mins after ordering. My friend ordered a basic plate and her potatoes and eggs were also cold. My other friend ordered the brioche french toast and liked it. The service was okay but it took to long to receive our orders. We won't go back.

Arrived Saturday morning just after 8:15. It was occupied but not busy. Thankfully, I personally prefer smaller crowds. Loved it and happy to return.

Neighborhood restaurant that is always a delight to eat in. If you are in a rush this is not where you want to be, but to introduce new folks to, just relax, and or enjoy a great breakfast or lunch, this should be a consideration. I have never been disappointed

Made a reservation to come here for my birthday breakfast. I was sat pretty quickly, there was only 3 other tables seated. I was waiting for 20 minutes and watching as the restaurant quickly filled up with other patrons and watching as all the other guests were being greeted and getting their drinks. We were patiently waiting for someone to come up to us but then I saw the two waiters were behind the bar just watching and talking about all the people in the restaurant . After that we decided to leave. I should have read the other reviews of the poor service practice but their photos and ambiance brought me to the restaurant. We’re never making that mistake again.

Servers were nice and attentive but it was a bit slow between getting drinks then food. Some of the food was lukewarm when it came out. Also I do not recommend the eggs at all. Very rubbery and overcooked. So for the price it is not a place I would choose to return.

Cute spot for breakfast! Service was a little slow… didn’t get creamer for 10 min after receiving coffee and it took a really long time to get someone’s attention to get the bill. Except for those little things, everything was great!

We’ve come here a few times and food and service has been great! Just came here and both food and service have gone downhill. There was one person taking orders and my husband had to ask 3 times for his cup of regular coffee. Food was not hot when it came to the table and I was disappointed by the Corned Beef Hash as it was from a can. I grew up eating the same exact corned beef hash and there’s no way this was homemade. I would expect a place like this to make their own. $18 is a bit pricey to pay for canned food I could’ve made myself. Not sure if we’ll be back.

Madi was terrific. I have only been there twice, but in both instances received excellent food and service. I will definitely be back. Loved sitting out on the patio as well. There is a little road noise, but not too much.

I really enjoyed my time at Madi! Been wanting to go for a while and it didn’t disappoint. The food was yummy and the place is super cute and vibey!! We got the churro waffle sticks and the chicken & steak!

This place is an adorable & the food was so good. But I was caught off guard by the 20% gratuity for our party of 6. Maybe it’s just me but it use to be 8 or more for most restaurants. On top of the 20% there is a 4% surcharge for doing business in CA. I think the prices should just be raised honestly. We paid an additional $30 just in surcharges, wild 😳.

Glad we finally tried Madi! The team there are friendly and provided attentive service. The food exceeded our expectations. We normally skip the appetizer, but we decided to try the waffle churro sticks. Glad we did! 😋 Overall, our experience at Madi was refreshing and we feel like we received great value. We will be back soon, and if the experience is consistent, Madi will gain another couple regulars.

Good service, good food, and, if you're seated outside on the porch, excellent ambience. The porch is also considerably quieter than it is inside. We had the French toast, the "Eggs Benny" (Eggs Benedict), and a side of bacon. All were very good, with first prize going to the French Toast

My daughter and I have breakfast here every weekend. Hands down one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in the cutest neighborhood. staff is absolutely amazing and the food is amazing! 10/10 recommend.

This was our first time dining at Madi and we will definitely be back! We all loved our food (and drinks), and the service was great! Super cute spot, too!
