Bringing all-day brunch and grab-and-go coffee to Normal Heights, Madi is the upcoming daytime counterpart to Madison on Park, the well-established mid-century modern restaurant and bar that opened in University Heights in 2015.

Offering a quick-service coffee counter fueled by Heartwork Coffee out of Mission Hills that’ll feature the full range of espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and tea as well as fresh pastries, Madi will also be an anytime option for sit-down breakfasts, mimosa-powered brunches, and casual lunches.

Its breakfast menu ranges from waffle churro sticks and breakfast burritos to skirt steak eggs Benedict and a variety of pancakes based on a 60-year-old recipe from Madison co-owner Matthew, whose family runs a century-old breakfast spot in the midwest.

Lunch will hinge on build-your-own grain and salad bowls along with lettuce wraps, ceviche, a burger, and a classic Tuna Melt!

Great brunch spot. The food was different than most places, only a few traditional items on the menu, but everything was very good. This is not a quiet place. Be prepared for having to yell to anyone across from you.

Decided to take my son out to Madi as our bounding and made reservations for us 2 at 9:30am and since it was a weekday it wasn’t busy as all with lots of empty tables. Didn’t really appreciate how my son and I were seated to a far back corner by the bathrooms with so much seating everywhere else. I did bring up the situation but I still don’t think being placed there in the first place was the smartest. I also was disappointed that the restaurant overall took away the children menu I really would appreciate if you would bring those back not just for me but for other families as well.

Food is Excellent. They do change their menu seasonally, so some of my favorites like the Montecristo sandwich and the eggs Benedict were not available, but their GOAT breakfast sandwich is incredible. My friend said their chicken fried steak was the best they ever had.

Dining at Madi is always delightful. Excellent food, great ambiance! The Mediterranean breakfast is the best! The customer service is top notch. Kiyomi usually takes my order. She always make me feel welcome, even on a busy Sunday morning, with her kind words and cheerful smile.

Myself and 2 friends went Sunday. Banana bread coffee was really good. It did take about 10-15mins to get and it was warm, not hot. I ordered a single blackberry and goat cheese pancake and a corned beef hash plate. The pancake was good but not hot. My corned beef has was warm but my potatoes and scrambled eggs were cold by the time I got my food, which took about 15-20 mins after ordering. My friend ordered a basic plate and her potatoes and eggs were also cold. My other friend ordered the brioche french toast and liked it. The service was okay but it took to long to receive our orders. We won't go back.
