An eclectic mix of comfort foods of Irish American cuisine paired with specially crafted cocktails. With five separate dining areas to choose from - a cozy spot in the lounge by the fire, outside on the patio with a view of Whitman's pond, spacious main dining room or semi-private dining room perfect for 15-60 of your closest friends or our Wonderland function room which comfortably seats up to 200 guests. We are a scratch kitchen and even our Irish meats are all made in house making our traditional Irish breakfast one of our most sought after menu items. But we are not just breakfast - our dinner menu is extensive and has something for everyone from Irish Chicken Curry to Steak Frites. Located on Route 53 in Weymouth we are centrally located on the South Shore and perfect for family dinners, date nights & celebrations of every kind.

Well I made these reservations 2 months ago in anticipationof Mother’s Day. I never got any message stating that these reservations were not valid and I even got a confirmation email the day prior confirming my reservations for Mother’s Day at 1pm. I showed up and was told they were not taking open table reservations today. I showed the host my email and he said he would try to seat as soon as he could but wasn’t going to honor it. I walked away and waited. My husband wasn’t accepting and told him he had to seat us and they did after 15 minutes and multiple inquiries and my husband being very upset about the mistake made and no one trying to rectifying it and hoping we would just wait.

We were seated in a very inconvenient location in the restaurant. We asked to move. They said no because the restaurant was full. It most certainly was not full. The location was a pain because in order for one person to get out, 3 people had to move. Annoying for a buffet. Also, the buffet was very meh. I went years ago and the spread was fresh. Today there was hardly any seafood and the prime rib was severely overcooked. I would not recommend.

Food was very limited in selection most was ver cold. I think i saw our server 1 time and had to go looking for her to pay the bill

Sunday brunch buffet. Large variety of offerings including a carving station and omelet station. Food was fresh, quickly replaced and tasty. Price included coffee and juices and they have a full bar. I’ll definitely go back.

We came here for Sunday brunch. The food was very good, and included a carving station with corned beef. There was also an omelette station for custom made omelettes. All the food was fresh and delicious. Service was great, very friendly and helpful, clearing away used dishes quickly and often. All this at an amazing price. Highly recommend!

We had a family Christmas gathering there on Sunday during their buffet hours. We were all very happy with the experience and would definitely do it again.

We had the Sunday brunch here and it was perfect both the food and the service (Kelly was our waitress). Kelly did an amazing job in taking good care of customers. The brunch is only $25/person and they carry a lot of varieties, it’s a must try! Overall I strongly recommend this restaurant.

After reading the reviews I was skeptical, but the food and drinks were awesome, the wait staff was attentive and we ate outside along the water with swans! The prices were very good and I will certainly come back when I am in the area.

This is the first time we’ve been back since before COVID and the quality and experience was very poor. We used to love the vibrancy of the restaurant, the hustle and bustle, and the menu choices- especially the Irish breakfast and curry sausages. During this visit the food was extremely salty and dry. Disappointed to see what the restaurant has turned into quality and service wise.

Took my sister, nephew, and brother-in-law who are from Florida to this beautiful establishment and they were in awe. They loved the food, the food portion, the decor, and the friendly and attentive waitress. They want to go back. Definitely 5 stars

Horrible experience. Booked for a party of 9. Went to the hostess stand to check in for the reservation and was told they do not do online reservations. Showed them my open table reservation and I was again told they don’t do online reservations. Were told we were going to have to wait atleast 20 mins. Mind you, open table reservations are advertised on their website. During this process a different patron came up to our group to let us know he had been waiting at his table for 45 minutes before even being served water. So probably a blessing in disguise that we left and went somewhere else.

Made a reservation and were seated on time only to realize they had no staff. We sat for 25 minutes before the waitress came over. I have two small children so we ordered food and drinks. 20 minutes later still no drinks, not even waters. Finally the hostess brought water to use after I asked her and found the waitress for my kids drinks atleast. We asked her how long our drinks and food would be and she said she had no idea... ASked her how long to just get the food to go and she went in the kitchen for 10 minutes and came out and said she couldnt say. After 45 minutes we left with no food or drink... no manager was there either he had gone home. People were leaving in big groups, really not good for a small business.

Some of the BEST corned beef I've ever had! The place was very busy, which we expected, but the staff stepped up and kept things moving. There was good Irish music provided from a local group that just topped off the ambience perfectly.

We had a group of 8 or 9 with reservations, and had to wait until just the moment of our reservation to be seated. No problem. Staffing issues seem to be hitting Mad Hatter as well, since we saw only a few servers in the two dining rooms we could see while waiting and eating our meals. The corned beef hash was disappointing - overcooked almost to the point of being burned and seemed to come from a can. The cobb salad was generously portioned and apparently quite good. The hit of the day was the mushroom panini; 3 people in our group ordered it and were very pleased. Portions overall were generously sized.

Wasn't impressed with their Sunday Brunch at all. The food options were limited. The fish was dry. No pastries and a very small selection overall.

Loved the Reuben sandwiches and the veggie burger. It would be lovely to have more vegan choices on your menu. Can’t wait to come back for your Irish breakfasts! We were so pleasantly surprised by your restaurant! We’ll be back!!!

“Irish” bacon and sausage we’re not Irish, nor was the bread. One meal arrived 10 minutes late! Otherwise okay. Server was nice.

The table was not clean and we had to wait for utensils. The food was ok, had to wait for more to come out, the trays were almost empty. Not enough options for fruit salad and yogurts.

We moved here recently and have found The Mad Hatter to be exceptional. The food is fresh, well prepared and delicious. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and they have a great attitude. I look forward to spending even more time there!!!

I would’ve call the food I received food. I was so excited to come here cause Iv heard such awesome things but not even mad leaving in the end but had to stop at Dunkies cause I was starving . I got chicken n waffles sorry I was supposed to get chicken n waffles what I got was slimy unflavored chicken and a soggy waffle that has strange taste like cardboard or freezer burn it was definitely frozen microwaved waffle eggos at home are better . Nothing had a taste and the maple syrup was water and I had to add packets of sugar to even get a flavor of anything out of it . Just really bad

We had a wonderful date night there last Saturday. Everything was good... food, drinks and dessert was so delicious. Our server CiCi was new to the restaurant, she was great, very attentive, friendly and super nice. Everyone there was very pleasant. Thank you for making our night out memorable. :)
