Disappointing desserts, not the classic recipes. Apple tart was not a tart and baked Alaska was not not baked meringue. Apps and entrees were good.

Ma Maison never disappoints! It's a cozy and relaxing environment with friendly waiters and waitresses. Every plate tastes perfect. The wine selection is always superb as well.

Birthday dinner. What a great choice. Wonderful waitstaff, especially our waitress. Not afraid to make suggestions, even discouraging us from ordering too many things. It was a bit warm in there. Not sure why they didn’t have those ceiling fans twirling at least a bit. I read in reviews that it could noisy. For me, it added to the bistro ambience. I had cod, my guest had scallops, and the “Best of Boston” onion soup. Both excellent. Bread and butter, just like in a Parisian bistro. With the cozy seating arrangement you never know who’ll be to your left and/or right. Lucky us; we had great conversation with very interesting “regulars” who even offered to buy us drinks. Can’t wait to go back. Please don’t change anything.

Well, the place was very loud, but that’s what you buy into if you come here. The daily special of roasted chicken and frites was all gone by 7:30. Could understand if it was something like fish. Most extraordinary, the waiter was just plain rude in many of his interactions. We are not picky diners and we eat out a lot and have traveled dozens of times in France. He reminded us of the waiters of old in France who have now become far more polite and helpful. So, we may go back but we would avoid him.

Wonderful late lunch with a friend. We shared the most delicious smoked salmon freshly made at the restaurant. And we also shared the wonderful escargot. The bread and butter were so creamy and delicious. We both had Jacky's "crispy poached eggsi"as our main course. Served on a bed of frisée lettuce with lots of crumbled bacon. The eggs were perfectly poached. It was all so delicious . I will definitely be back again soon. The wait staff is so friendly and kind. Special shout out to Anjou and Blake.

We are regulars at Ma Maison, and it pains me to say this but the Mothers Day prix fixe left a LOT to be desired. The entire experience felt rushed. The quality of food was a bit off. For instance, the “tenderloin” was a 1/2” thick and therefore dry. (Even though it was ordered as medium rare). While the duck confit itself was very tasty, both the beef and duck were served with a “bordelaise” sauce that WAS NOT A BORDELAISE. Instead it was an under-seasoned sauce that tasted of red wine (the opposite of a Bordelaise). And for some reason, the “Bordelaise” had mushrooms in it?!

Ma Maison was impressive. Large portions, more than reasonable prices, real authentic French feel & experience. Only possible inconvenience might have been space and crowding, but this is also part of the experience. Would highly recommend. French toast was different than I’ve ever had— not too much sugar. My brother got the Salmon and it was HUGE & looked amazing. My mother got the Eggs Benedict which looked great as well. Great service as well

It's always incredible. My dining companion has a bit of an allergy to butter . The chef always works around it. They are so good. Tried the crepes Suzette for the first time... I am Craving it again already. Service is always wonderful. Everyone there is so nice!

A simple lunch with a friend—one of us had the spinach omelette with salad and fries, the other had a plain omelette with a slice of lox folded in, with some creme fraiche along side, no fries and more salad, what each of us wanted. the omelette was light, direct from the chef, and was hot and just so, delightfully delicious, a simple caffe latte was the perfect ending for a midday lunch.

TLDR: The service is so good they will chase you down the block to return your forgotten phone! The food is even better than that! Absolutely outstanding, the food, the service, the atmosphere was all just tremendous. I ordered the French Toast and Blueberries, it was quite different from the US version, but it was warm, sweet, and melted in my mouth. My only regret is I wasn't hungrier so I could eat more. We were seated right away, I booked on Open Table and requested a quieter table and they happily obliged. The wait staff was attentive and responsive, my water never reached more than half empty before a stealthy refill took place. The food came out quickly and the check was present the moment we requested it. It was $40 for two people plus a well-earned tip which is a bit high but 100% worth it. If this place had better parking, I would be there a lot more!

This restaurant is truly a Boston gem! We felt as though we were back in Paris again. For an appetizer we had the lobster bisque and cream of broccoli soup. The bisque was to die for and the broccoli soup special was absolute perfection on a cloudy day. As an entree we had Moule Frites and the Sweetbread special. The PEI mussels were superbly prepared and the sweetbreads were sautéed just right. They came along with a delightful sauce, rice, shredded carrots and miniature asparagus. The wine was served in a carafe, adding to the French feel. We will go back again and again.

Overall a very nice charming restaurant and I have recommended it to many people. It was a bit too noisy. I wonder if it's possible to post a notice to suggest to patrons to speak quietly? The tables in my section were too close together. My Coq a Vin was too highly salted and I could not finish it. I should have asked for no salt but perhaps the server can also ask the client? Thank you.

Excellent food and service...authentic French cuisine served quickly and with finesse...this is a great little spot. I enjoyed an excellent Romaine salad and the short rib dish and my spouse had starters including oysters and ratatouille - he had the ray fin as an entree. The tables are set quite closely together, which is understandable due to the size of the restaurant - but it did result in our hearing our neighbors' full conversations on either side and they ours to be sure. The food and service certainly made it worth the visit!

We enjoyed our evening at Ma Maison. Food, drinks/desserts were good and prices decent. Nothing was terribly remarkable which is why I gave it 4 *'s. Something was short of excellent. But 4/5 still makes it a worthwhile visit.
