Was there for the first time, the atmosphere is great, especially if you’re fan of rooftops and Japanese food. Bar only will be open from 11:00PM, so make a plan if you want to have some food as well. Tuna is outstanding, service is good, we asked waitress to turn off the top heat lamp and she did. I would def recommend this vibrant place!

Pearl was AMAZINGLY helpful and gave amazing suggestions and clear descriptions of many of the dishes. Each staff member was extremely attentive and helpful.

The food is unique and mostly excellent. The service was erratic and hectic. The server was cheerful and friendly but pressed us to order before we had a chance to settle in and even get drinks. We were served our dishes haphazardly and a couple of orders were incorrect. We sometimes needed refills on drinks but couldn’t find a server. It was a bit anxiety inducing rather than relaxing. The setting is very nice but the music is too loud.

I was pretty excited for this place before I got there, and I enjoyed most aspects: atmosphere, location, service. But I feel that the value didn't really match. I was there for brunch. The food was good and unique, but maybe I chose the wrong items for my taste. I got the Lumi Roll which struck me as lacking something, I couldn't discern what, but the most memorable flavor was the rice paper, then the roll was underwhelming, not what I'd expect of the namesake. The Japanese pancake was fairly good, somewhere between a typical pancake and a souffle pancake, but not knowing where it was meant to fall. The drinks were great (mimosas are very easy though), and you should expect the price. The Ceviche Tostada was also nice, but not at all worth $18 for what was essentially 2 chips. When you order ceviche you normally expect a small bowl of it, like salsa or guac would be served. but to even call it shareable was laughable. We liked the Sunshine roll, but it did not come with "take-home UV color changing Lumi sunglasses" as the menu states. That's no big deal, but there was no mention of them from the server as to whether they were just out of them or maybe they flat out forgot. I can tell that there are good things on the menu and maybe I just chose wrong, but in no way was that a $160-190 experience

i made a reservation a week in advance, they did not accommodate my requests and sat people in better areas after seating me. the food, though, is phenomenal. pricey for smaller portions, but delicious nonetheless!

Every time we are in San Diego we make it a point to go to Lumi. The staff are so cordial, and the food is just fantastic. Highly recommend the surf and turf roll, the serrano seabass roll and the short ribs. Every dish we have eaten here over the years is creative, quirky, and delicious. The restaurant is open, on the top floor of the building, and usually has music playing, which is a bit loud, but also adds to the energy.

Si bien su vista al centro es divina de día y de noche, el ambiente me encantó, su música ambiental ideal y en el tono justo. La atención inmejorable, podría decir hasta consentidos, alimentos súper originales
