Perfectly executed lasagna and salad. Great selection of wines to accompany meal. Best marinara sauce I’ve ever had.

The service was outstanding from start to finish-the only reason it has the higher rating. Excellent Bellini. Decent wine selection but unfortunately the Montepulciano was nothing to write home about. Margherita pizza did not hit the mark primarily because of the crust/base. Don’t think it is authentic pizza dough. Salad was sweet with no particular flavor. Disappointing all around.

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with simple menu, mostly pizza and pasta. Well prepared dishes. Excellent home made pastas and sauces! Pappardelle bolognese is great! Gnocchi is light and wonderful! Gorgonzola sauce, pesto, and vodka sauce all good. Meatballs were good too! This was my second time here and purposely came on a weekend to try a special of braised lamb shank or osso buco but neither was served. Probably because restaurant is new and kinda slow so it must be hard to gauge quantity of food prep.

Luisa’s is always a 5-star experience. We’ve gone to Luisa’s 2 weeks in a row to celebrate our 11th year anniversary. Start with the meatball or caesar salad and treat yourself to any number of the delicious pasta and finish off with the tiramisu and espresso. My personal favorite is the vodka sauce. Luisa’s On Guerrero is a very special place!

First time here. Wonderful neighborhood Italian restaurant. Luisa herself was here and a pleasure to talk to. Sonia , our server, was excellent! Solid Italian food. Pizza and house made pasta. Great preparation and execution. Will be back for sure.

This is the quintessential Italian dining experience in San Francisco. Think North Beach in its prime. All the staple dishes have its very own signature taste, making a familiar dish a delightfully new experience. Service was genuinely nice, the kind that makes you feel warm and comfortable. Thank you and long live Luisa’s!

The only complaint I would have is that the music was annoyingly loud. Everyone had to talk over it, which made the restaurant loud and at9pm there were only six tables. Decor could be updated to keep up with the more updated restaurants, but the funky decor lets you know you’re in San Fran! Wait staff amazing and food was delicious.

This place was awesome!!! What a gem location, and the food, wine, service, ambience… all superstar level. The tomato sauces are superb. Will be back many times!!!!

I read an article about this restaurant so I wanted to try it. Luisa has owned and operated several restaurants in SF, this one since 1959. So we wanted to try it. The decor is more modern, not your old fashion red checker tablecloths. We liked the wooden tables. We ordered a traditional caesar salad and the carpaccio as appetizers. Both were very good. The caesar salad dressing was rich and creamy, but the croutons could have been crunchier. We wanted to try the pizza, so we had that and an order of gnocchis with pesto to share. The gnocchis were very good, yelp gives them a 5 star. The pizza was good, but nothing special. We also ordered the spumoni bomba for dessert. It was very good. All in all a very nice dinner that was a good value. We want to go back to try some of the other pasta dishes.
