Lucky Robot is the first sushi restaurant in Texas to partner with the James Beard Foundation and Monterrey Bay Aquarium sustainability programs. We are committed to healthy oceans.

Our kitchen is lead by two time Ora King Finalist Jay Huang. Our food is Modern Nikkei cuisine, a balance of Japanese cuisine accentuated with the fragrant chilies and aromatic spices of Latin America.

Prime dry-aged fish is here. A tradition started over 200 years ago in Tokyo and now the first in Texas. Prime Dry Aged Fish will allow you to taste the fish in its purest form. Breaking down tissues and sugars allows new flavors and textures that bring the fish to its cleanest, most tender form. Age = Flavor.

I highly recommend this place! The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. When I'm back in Austin, I will definitely go again.

We love Lucky Robot and highly recommend it! Such a cute restaurant with some incredible food and drink options. Also, this is a GREAT place to go with a vegan, which is not easy for most sushi spots. Great daily fish list and very good sake. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent food, loved the rock steak and sushi was delicious. The Brussel sprouts are a must try when you go.

Great place with a friendly staff and fresh sushi, creative rolls and other options for those that do not like raw seafood. The atmosphere was lively and it was an enjoyable experience.

We sat out on the patio. It’s a little bit of a high traffic area, since it’s just off the side of the sidewalk. There were also some flies and gnats around, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault… The food was good. We ordered almost every roll on the menu and several appetizers. The stand outs for us were the chicken karage and the transformer roll.

It is always a pleasure to experience the unique and delicate flavors that Chef Jay creates, which are brought to life by the incredible staff. You won't taste anything like the dry aged fish anywhere else. Lucky Robot is an absolute must-dine-at for anybody visiting Austin or resident that hasn't yet added this restaurant to their repertoire of local spots with an atmosphere that is perfect for any occasion.

An amazing example of Omakase and same pairing. I can not emphasize how good the food was and the pairing. The service was barely serviceable for ordinary people. We ordered drinks that never arrived between courses for our son and were charged for them when they weren’t delivered. Super loud venue so be prepared to repeat yourself. Does the food make up for the disappearance of the waitstaff YES. This was a premium experience and I would do it again.

From the high ratings, I was so hopeful. I'll give them a second try to impress, but I can only honestly say the Tuna Day 5-course Omakase was a let down. My prime complaint is that we waited 25 minutes from our reservation before the Amuse Bouche was served. The whole service was slow (2 hours from start to finish). We were not the only Omakase reservation that waited a lengthy time between courses either. This seemed to be because they were also open for walk-ins and also serving their regular menu. We were told this was a last minute change and unusual for the Omakase service. Two of the 5 courses were especially great for me, the noodles and the sando, my wife liked the nigiri course best. The two other dishes were a little forgettable. I would reservedly still recommend the place only because I believe the server that it was unusual service pacing and the regular menu being served to diners next to us looked amazing.
