Completely unprepared for Mother’s Day even though we had a reservation, they did not honor the reservation when we made a reservation for brunch. By the time they sat us they were no longer serving brunch and we had to go with the dinner menu. it took an hour and a half to get our food after we ordered. It could be a nice place. I would not recommend a holiday.

The restaurant was overbooked for Mother's Day. We were seated 1/2 hour later than our reservation time, gave our order pretty much right away- 45 minutes later still no food. We had to leave to catch a show -had to box our food up and leave. Only 2 of us got to eat a salad --both nothing special. Supposed to be grilled chicken on salad--tasted like lunchmeat chicken. Staff was very apologetic and it's probably a nice place when it's not so busy, but management dropped the ball on this one or maybe they need more kitchen help. Many other diners were complaining about the wait for food and service.

Extremely slow service, over an hour wait for food. I understand when the kitchen is backed up, but we were not checked on by our waitress after being served coffee. I had to go up to the counter to ask for more. Another long wait for just the check after food arrived, we had to ask again.

Great experience for breakfast. The frittata-style omelettes are a special treat. The only disappointment was that the Belgium waffle was one single waffle that was small.

We made a 12:30 lunch reservation before our 2:00 showtime at the Pitman Theatre. The food was fresh and delicious. Different options, something for everyone. I loved the open feel of the dining and the decor was simple but beautiful. We will be back!!

The wait for our food to arrive was extremely long. When it finally arrived, it was not cooked all the way through. We had to box up the food and take it with us as we were heading to a show. The kitchen was the problem here. Not sure why there was such a delay!! Bad experience. Don't plan to go back anytime soon.

Loved our food and our waitress! The only recommendation I would make is having music playing and loud enough that you can have a conversation with people at your table without feeling like everyone can hear you speak.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a reservation for 11:45am and arrived at 11:30am. We were told that they overbooked reservations by 90 people. We were seated after 30 minutes of waiting and ordered right away. We waited over 2 hours for our food. The food was burnt and inedible. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Horrible experience. Staff was very unfriendly and offered zero compensation for this dining experience. I will not be going back.

Had a reservation for 11:00am, didn’t get seated until 11:30, didn’t have a server talk to us until 11:50, at which point we were informed that food would be an hour wait, after our hour wait to even sit down! We did not stay.

We did not enjoy the food at all. Very expensive for what you got. Sopprafina was bland. Salad was heavy on cranberries and goat cheese. It was also a mix of two salads that they prepare. Buffalo nuggets were very small and minimal. Flat bread $25.00 was undercooked

Took my son (who goes to Rowan University -it’s close). We sat outside because it was a nice evening. Super cute decor-inside and out. The portions are HUGE! We could have split the Stromboli or Panini! We actually each ate half and took home each other’s leftovers. Very tasty!

It's really a shame, the place is cute but clearly lacking management oversight. Everyone working here is young, and we didn't see a single manager or adult in sight. The service is incredibly slow. It took 15 mins for our waitress to even bring over menus; 20 more minutes for her to take our order. She also seemed generally uncomfortable speaking to anyone. Unfortunately, we had friends go earlier for brunch, and they said service was terribly slow too, as did other guests we overheard while dining there, so this doesn't seem like a single event. The "boneless buffalo wings" I'm pretty sure are Tyson chicken nuggets, very chewy, and the buffalo sauce came cold on the side. The "paninis" we're just deli meat sandwiches, cold and not pressed. Overall, the only good thing we had was the bottle of wine, which is from a winery. The whole meal and experience was so bad we were laughing. Really disappointing. It's like they opened this place and then just totally gave up.

First time going and we will certainly be going back. Just based on the decor and atmosphere, we were shocked to be the only people dining in on a Friday night (three adults, one toddler). And after we got our food we were truly shocked, because the strombolis were all yummy! We were initially scoffing at the "seed choice" to sprinkle on top, but when they came with everything bagel on top, the slight change it created for the texture and taste was tasty and unique. To be clear we were not the only patrons for the night. People were just in and out for the desserts throughout our time there. The chef was kind enough to bring our lil person out a little bowl of blueberries. Great staff, great food

Came here 90 minutes before a show. Should be plenty of time, and we had a reservation. Took awhile for server to come over, found out we couldn’t get breakfast (boo!) so we ordered a stromboli. Ate here once before and had a good meal, so I was looking forward to it. At 50 minutes before the show, we’re told the Stromboli was just going in and takes about 25 min. That would put us with not a lot of time to eat it so we canceled it. Ate dessert instead. Had the server (who was being overworked) told us “since you’re seeing a show don’t get the ’boli, get a panini,” we wouldn’t have ordered it. We felt bad for the server but 90 minutes should be plenty of time for lunch. The cannoli we had was excellent but we were really looking forward to lunch there.

In my humble opinion, don't waste your time or money by going to Cafe Lucia. We had 12:00 reservations, thinking we were going for Sunday brunch. But when we got there after ordering our brunch time beverages, were told they were no longer serving breakfast and now switched to their lunch menu. I spent $65 for 2 chicken Caesar salads and a grilled cheese. Really?? We should have gone to an Italian restaurant where for $65, I could have gotten a dish of pasta and a glass of wine. So disappointing. Food was mediocre at best. Service was bad. Overall, a terrible experience.

Great food (huge servings easily shared by two people) and stunning indoor decor. Easy walking distance to the Broadway theatre. BYOB.

The food was good. But they are understaffed. So half of our group got their orders wrong. It took so long to order, eat, and get the bill, we didn’t bother to make changes. There weren’t more than three tables filled in the restaurant the whole time. And they are overpriced. For instance, everything comes a la carte. An omelette starts out plain, with each item added being $1-$3 more. We were going to try their cannoli or bomboloni. But between the time and cost, we just couldn’t.

This is my new favorite local place. Food is OUTSTANDING- so was service and experience. I’ve been there five times so far and it’s always perfect!

Lucia's Cafe is my new favorite place to eat in Pitman. The food is delicious, portions are generous, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
