Located in a historical home in the resort town of Dana Point, California, Luciana's Ristorante has been serving the Orange County community for over 30 years. The decor is reminiscent of a cozy European-style inn, establishing it as one of Orange County's most romantic restaurants. Awarded the Southern California Restaurant Writers gold medal since 1996, three stars from the California Restaurant Writers, Zagat's Survey "America’s 1,000 Top Italian Restaurants 2008" and an Award of Excellence for its wine list, Luciana's has been setting the standard for classic as well as innovative Italian cuisine. This has always been our go to place for special occasions. Unfortunately it has changed. Food was very bland. Charbroiled chicken was overcooked, tough and inedible. I had the server put “Parmesan” cheese on my Fettuccine Toscana three times and it still was tasteless . The calamari was overcooked and rubbery. The server was very nice but seemed frantic and overwhelmed. Restaurant was very noisy. It is hard to have a conversation. It makes me sad to leave this review but my family will be looking for a new restaurant for special occasions after this experience.

The bruschetta appetizer was excellent. Also, my entree was delicious.

The food was very good. The server was personable and attentive but not over bearing. Outside seating is comfortable and there are heat lamps.

I never come to Orangecounty without stopping by this restaurant. Great staff, Service, Food and ambience!

Walking into Luciana's was like taking a step back in time. It was truly a treat. The food was delicious and all of the servers were attentive to their guests. We were not rushed, nor were we left sitting waiting for our check. The roasted eggplant appetizer was wonderful. It was perfect for two of us or as an entrée with a salad for one person. I ordered veal scaloppini off of the gluten free menu and although the veal was paper thin, the yummy sauce made the dish very enjoyable. My husband had the osso bucco and wanted to lick his plate! The wine suggestions were spot on and matched perfectly with our entrees. We definitely recommend Luciana's for a wonderful Italian meal!

One of our favorite restaurants and we have been coming here for close to 20 years! Consistently excellent service, good food, lovely environment. A great place for a great experience.

Tried it for the first time. Restaurant is old school but great. Just know what you’re in for. The service was good, the food came out quick, and we enjoyed ourselves. Great pricing for the food. Thanks.

The food is consistently very good. Chicken Parm is one of the best around town.

Service was not what it was previously at this restaurant. Server was so so and after dinner we were not asked about dessert or coffee. Food was ok but not what we remember from previous visits!
