Lucca Osteria & Bar is the vision of chef and veteran restaurateur, Claudio Ulivieri and his partner Steven Hartenstein. Raised near the Italian city of Lucca, Claudio’s passion for food began. He brought this passion to the States, and started his culinary career as a chef. Now, after decades of creating menus and running restaurants, he and his partner have opened Lucca Osteria - tapping into his roots - to share his favorite rustic Italian flavors with you. Seated 35 minutes after reservation time, food wasn't good and portions were small (fortunately)...

Good morning. We tried to look up your reservation so we could look into this but since it is anonymous we could not locate it. I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I was there that evening as I am most evenings. I had no idea there were any issues. We pride ourselves on exceeding our guest expectations with the respect to all aspects of your dining experience. It appears that we fell short during your visit. Thank you for letting us know and please accept our apologies. Sitting outside was a great atmosphere! The food was very good. polenta/shrimp appetizer was a big hit. Drinks are expensive, the service was good, but the food & drinks coming out was extremely slow. it took us an hour to get apps/drinks and another hour for our meal to come out.

We had the bolognese pasta and it’s amazing! It was very busy this night but our server was on top of everything. Great job Luca Osteria & Bar!

A guest in our party has a gluten allergy and her pasta was ordered gluten free. The server was unable to determine if it was in fact gluten free. Then the chef came out and was not sure if the pasta was gluten free. So, 3 different times until the chef said he would remake it to ensure it was gluten free. However, 3 mins later he returned and said the pasta was gluten free. I'm not sure what the issue was or why our experience was not great this time around. We had corporate visitors in town, so our party was for 12 instead of our normal 6 guests and maybe that wasn't ideal from the small restaurant. We have previously enjoyed meals since its opening. I'm willing to try again but not anytime soon and maybe with just 2 or 3 people next time. thanks

A group of our college friends met here for a mini reunion dinner. It was perfect in every way! Ambiance was wonderful, and the staff understood and did not push us to hurry, order, anything. It was mid-week so that may have helped. Food was great and value was perfect! Definitely recommend for this kind of occasion.

First time at this restaurant. Service was good. The room was loud and the food was average. We were seated inside. Attractive outdoor seating area.

Great food. Enjoyed grilled calamari, burata, lamb chop and fettuccine. Everything tasted great. Service was a bit on the slow side but didn't spoil the experience. Will be back.

Despite having many open tables, the restaurant didn’t seat us until 30 minutes past our reservation time. Then the server forgot to put our drink order in.. The server who brought our food to the table appeared to be a hurry. He essentially dropped off our meals and scurried out. Overall a very poor experience for a celebration dinner we had planned here. Don’t plan on going back to dine here.

Food and ambiance are good. Service needs improvement. Wait staff takes orders and others bring food. Little coordination between the two. No one seems responsible to clear appetizers dishes so entrees are delivered while appetizer plates are left on table at same time!

We’ve been many times before and loved the food and service. Maybe lunch isn’t their strong suit. Our server was not attentive and forgot to put our order in and then it was rushed and came out very undercooked.
