Dana Point foodies, get ready! Chef Khang Nguyen and his team have found their new home – LÚA Eatery, opening in May 2024 at Monarch Bay Plaza. LÚA, meaning rice grain, promises to offer Asian fusion cuisine, marrying Vietnamese traditions with international flavors.

Chef Nguyen, known for his work at acclaimed Orange County restaurants like Nep and Gem Dining, brings his unique blend of cultural inspirations to classics like Pho, sizzling steaks and Banh Mi -- paired with delicious mixed drinks, wine-based cocktails, wine and beer.

They are open! Phone not working. Chicken rolls are excellent & the brisket pho was umami bomb! Staff was super nice. Finally a decent restaurant at monarch plaza!

Lua Asian Fusion Eatery is a nice, quiet place to spend time with your loved ones. Although the selection of food was limited, whatever we ordered was delicious. The place was very welcoming, and service was good.

Super happy with my dinning experience at LUA and definitely would go back there again soon. The atmosphere was very relaxing, pleasant, location of the restaurant is in a very nice area, food tasted excellent and more importantly it was priced at a reasonable and affordable for a good evening out with friends.

The food was excellent quality and taste. The flavors were varied and presentation was attractive. Enjoyed the Dragon Fruit Mojito mocktail as a nice treat. The smoked short rib in broth was melt in your mouth tender and the broth flavorful. Adding some of the siracha to the broth took it to another level. Service was friendly and attentive. The general vibe of the place was family and relaxed. A little loud but we could carry on conversation easily. Try it, you'll like it!
