At Lower Mills Tavern, we strive to make this place feel like home to all – Whether that be during game day, date night, or a quick drink after work. We are a Dorchester-local tavern with a strong passion for community and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We offer live music 3 nights per week as well as $1 oysters, wood-fired pizzas, Salads, Seafood, Steaks and much more.

Our delicious seasonal menus are sure to have menu items specially catered towards any dietary need (ex: gluten-free, vegan, etc.). Voted Best Neighborhood Restaurant in Boston (Dorchester; Boston Magazine)

Great service, good food, good vegan options. A bit loud and cold, tvs were loud too. But I’d go back!

This is one of our regular go to’s. We love the new additions on the menu and the routine items. I am partial to the Salmon burger. Bartenders are experts and always ready to give suggestions. Local place with inventive food and drink. Definitely give it a try!

-seated promptly - cool decor and vibe -I got the “secretly from Milton” cocktail, which was a blackberry lemonade, and it was delicious. -I ordered a tuna poke bowl with no cucumbers. It arrived with cucumbers, and I sent it back. The kitchen person who delivered it stared at me blankly when I sent it back. -they came out with a fresh bowl in five minutes, but the tuna was cooked all the way through like a can of tuna. I wanted to send it back, but did not feel comfortable sending it back a second time so I just ate it. -as soon as we took the last bite of our meal, the waitress was over asking us if we wanted anything else. We felt rushed and were out of there in under an hour. Overall not impressed, but willing to give it another try.

Great brunch options and was saved a great table for our reservation. Everybody got something different and loved all of it. I highly recommend it.

The food was pretty basic and there wasn't anything too special about the drinks menu. I enjoyed my experience at LMT and the service was pretty good. I don't think I would go back, as I would want to try other places in the area.

Me and my girlfriend had the sweet and salty wings as an appetizer. They were delicious, highly recommend. I got the salmon sandwich and she had the burger. Both came out hot and very tasty. Live music was playing while we ate. The restuaraunt was very nice and staff was friendly and helpful.

We had never been and decided we should check it out after hearing of it and having gone to nearby restaurants before. We made a reservation and were sat quickly. We ordered drinks and they took a little while but we’re pretty good overall and worth the cost. We ordered a Duke of Dorchester and the Maple Coffee. We then ordered an eggs benedict, bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and the ricotta french toast. The poached egg was completely hard in the middle as if it had been hard boiled, absolutely nothing was runny about it. The hollandaise wasn’t great. No one came over to check until after we had already eaten about half our food. I ate the benedict, but disliked it. The egg sandwich and french toast were both pretty good. Overall, the food wasn’t good enough to recommend to another person, but wasn’t terrible.

I tried the fried chicken sandwich again but was disappointed again. The roll wAs really fresh and toppings were tasty. The chicken, however was full of gristle which is a turnoff for me. I ate a little less than half spitting out the tough parts. Please trim your boneless chicken breasts. You have a great little place and I love to go because it’s local. My husband had the salmon sandwich which he liked very much.
