We dined here for a weekday lunch and birthday celebration. The place was not busy (in fact it was pretty empty so it was plenty quiet for conversation.) We were seated quickly in the beautiful outdoor covered rooftop area. The atmosphere is really lovely with the rattan and the decor - the setting makes you feel like you are dining on an island. The service was friendly and attentive. However, the food was lackluster, at best. We shared a pizza that was over salted, rather dry, and nothing special. I had a salad that was drenched in salad dressing, although they were generous with the added chicken. My companions said their meals were just average and we all agreed we probably wouldn't choose to eat here again.

$110 steak came out way over cooked and I never complain and besides our waiter they seemed inconvenienced about it then brought a black and blue steak . I just ate it cause I didn’t want problems . Didn’t offer any kind of discount . I will just never go back and not recommend the place. I’m used to nice restaurants that have better service and good food.

Made a reservation for dinner knowing that Saturday lunch has a DJ. We were not expecting to find a restaurant with a nightclub vibe. A DJ playing music loud enough that we could not hear each other. People sitting at other tables, the same. They ended up on their phone. I asked our waitress if they could turn down the volume but the manager said no. That this was the theme, the style. I think Loulou should not brand themselves as a French restaurant. It’s not. I’m French and in French restaurants, the experience is about the food and the service, not the music or a DJ. Their wine list was poor, especially wine by the glass. Tasted 2 wines and they were horrible. We decided to go to Massilia on 4th, restaurant owned by same company as Le Zinque. Great food, good wines.

I'm really sorry to write this review because the staff were very nice. I took my BFF there for an early celebratory birthday dinner. We ordered the dips and our server told us that the tapenade was made with green olives, good to know, but he neglected to tell us that it was also made with sardines with neither of us eat. It took waaay too long to get the replacement hummus. My friend ordered the eggplant parm which she liked. I ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli with sage brown butter and we shared the crispy brussel sprouts. My raviolis were in a pool of butter - way to much butter! One of the raviolis was empty and another one was half filled. This happens when you boil raviolis, but most restaurants would not let those appear on your plate, especially when there are only six to begin with. The brussel sprouts were not crispy but mushy and both the sprouts and raviolis were super salty. This is supposed to be a high end restaurant and I was shocked at slow service and food quality.

Waitress told us we had 15min to order even though we had a reservation. Not the best way to begin the service especially since we were there celebrating a special occasion. We didn’t appreciate the rush at all. Cesar salad wasn’t good but the dessert was pretty decent. Love the vibe and ambiance. Good drinks

We thought a rooftop French restaurant would be a great spot to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. We were disappointed. Our Steak Frites were overcooked and grizzly. There were plenty of staff milling around the restaurant but getting someone to stop by our table was a big challenge. For the price of the food, I really expected better quality and service.

We really enjoyed the ambiance, but I would never get dinner here again. I would go for a couple drinks during happy hour, but we’d never get dinner here. Overpriced drinks and food for mediocre food at best. There is to many better restaurants then here.

Great experience, especially given a holiday weekend. Food and drinks came out quickly and were delicious. Thank you to our waiter, Slater, for the excellent service!

I ordered the salmon plate and it was so delicious I have to return and have it again! My wife and children loved the pizza and even though it was a cold evening we really enjoyed ourselves. I will return with just my wife so we can have a few drinks because the atmosphere was great and the place is cozy and intimate.
