By far the worst experience I’ve had dining. We waited 45 minutes for biscuits and our server didn’t even check on us once. The tables next to us which were sat 20 minutes after us, were able to get food and drinks before us and had the same server. Horrible service and way over priced. For 2 drinks, and biscuits it came out to $50? Will not be dining here again.

The food here is wonderful! Incredible gumbo, gator bites, oxtail, lemon pepper catfish! Such a fun and unpretentious place, nice wait staff. We brought our own wine and paid a modest corkage fee ($25) and also had a few fun Nola-style cocktails.

Service was beautiful from our greeting to our exit. The service at the table was gold standard with great enthusiasm, great care, great recommendations, great follow-up. You felt like your comfort and impression of the food, flavor, and your level of enjoyment mattered. Our table had the garlic biscuits, truly a meal in them selves. The gumbo was doggone great gumbo, with everything in it, several different meats, which is what real gumbo is. The Lemon-pepper catfish, fried was also par excellence. When I finish these left overs, my husband will return to try other dishes.

Come on an empty stomach! Our table had the shrimp and grits, catfish, airline chicken, Mac and cheese, and Dookey chase. All were delicious!

Food was great very heavy on honey in dishes a little over powering, service could have been better, it took over 20 minutes for our server to come over and take our order. Several items on the menu was out, but would have been nice to know before hand not when we ordered. I was a little upset I let them know we were there for two birthdays and nothing was mentioned nor anything done for them. I would come back but probably try on a less busier day. I feel they are not a team that could handle busier times.

Ayana was an amazing host for the night. She made our experience very memorable by answering all the questions we had regarding the menu and also making some really good recommendations we ended up loving. Will sure be returning
