After reading many blogs/posts/reviews about best deep dish pizza in Chicago, we chose Lou Malnati’s. We ordered a classic cheese. The pizza itself lacked flavor and the crust was similar to a thick cracker. The restaurant itself was dirty. The wood ledge at our booth had a film of heavy dust and there was good between the cushion and wall of bench seats. Overall ambiance was poor. Very disappointed.

I was in town for a trade show and wanted to try an Italian restaurant in walking distance of our hotel. Lou Malnati’s was a great recommendation! The table ordered spaghetti and meatballs which were so full of flavor, wings which were so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and to top it off we had a deep dish pizza. The pizza was full of meet and cheese and absolutely delicious! They have canned alcohol beverages. The service was great! The noise level is very loud, we just grinned and enjoyed the food.

Excellent deep dish Chicago classic pizza, lasagna (different from classic lasagna in that it's filled with spinach & cheese and no meat) with marinara sauce, pizza cookie topped with ice cream. All were yummy. We have enough dinner to have a second meal at home, given the size of the portions. Service was excellent and very attentive.

I didn’t mind the 30 minute wait on pizza but what I did mind was the five minute wait for a waiter to come to our table and then the additional 10 minute wait for him to take our order and explain the menu because the menu was rather complicated. The food wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better and it was slightly overpriced.

I’ve heard a lot about this and since I was in the area, I decided to drive for myself to see if it lived up to the hype. Ultimately I didn’t think this was anything particularly special. However, that does not mean it was bad overall I enjoyed my time here and the food was palatable.

My students from Texas loved it. Our server was very patient with us and great. When we come back to Chicago, we will definitely return.

The buffalo chicken wings were amazing - crunchy and just the right amount of sauce. I split a 2-person pie with my son. Very tasty.

We wanted to try a Chicago deep dish pizza while we passed through town and weren't disappointed. Our waiter was amazing.

The food at Lou Malnati’s was great, but the worst service I’ve had in years. They sat me 30 minutes after my reservation time and took the waiter another 10 minutes to take my drink order once I was seated. I’d recommend take out.
