Server was great handled large party with ease. Food was good except gluten free thin crust pizza was not.

The service was slow but friendly. Deep dishes pizza usually has a 30 mins. So we called in only 30 mins in advance of our reservation to preorder it as we normally did. We arrived on time and was told we still needed to wait 20 mins for them to serve us the preorder pizza which was a surprise. 45 mins after arrival (75 mins since my preorder call), the pizza finally arrived. It looks burnt as first glance. Then the waitress has to use force in order to cut into the pizza. The pizza crust was difficult to cut with a knife and hard to chew. It is like rock hard cheese crisp. toppings were not juicy even with tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach. We mentioned that to the waitress. She acknowledged the pizza doesn’t look right and usually advise people not to preorder as the pizza will be half baked and then put it back to oven to bake again once we were seated. She said the quality for preordered pizza was inconsistent. Really? We had never had this problem before and had preordered every time. The manager came look at the pizza and acknowledged the pizza was way over cooked just by looking at it. He was polite and took it off our bill, but we were disappointed that our out of town guests first experience of Chicago deep dishes pizza were poor. The real question is where is the quality control? If the waitress, manager and the guests can see the pizza is not up to standard just by look. The failed pizza should never been served out from the kitchen and should be remade. basically, we waited 75 mins total for a burnt pizza. Disappointed. And we couldn’t take the leftovers as it wouldn’t be enjoyable. P.S. We have been a loyal Lou Malnati’s customer for 24 years. The quality of the Naperville downtown location is the most inconsistent. For takeout, we usually preferred to pick up from the 95th location as it just tasted better and consistent every time. We only go to Naperville downtown location as it is the only sit down restaurant location nearby.

I had never been to this particular Malnati's (Naperville, IL) and I was very pleasantly surprised. The environment was relatively quiet (I hate noisey restaurants), the pizza was delicious the service was excellent, parking was available ... all in all a pleasant experience.

Service was great, but the pizza didn’t deliver as it has in the past. Our thin crust pizza was overly cheesy making it impossible to eat without utensils. And crust didn’t have much flavor. The thick crust traditional Malnatis was better in flavor, balance of toppings, and taste and texture of crust.

Quick seating with reservation. Server was very knowledgeable and helpful. She did the small things that made for a pleasant experience. Serving us our salad and pizza. individually. Boxing and bagging our leftovers. Would divinely return and recommend to friends.

Good family lunch for Mother’s Day. Table was ready upon arrival, service was solid and food was excellent as expected.

Service during lunch was great. Pizza and fries were great as usual and our order of BuffaLou wings were better than usual, which was a pleasant surprise.

We ordered a bruschetta appetizer and 2 pasta entrees. Then we sat for 30 minutes without ever seeing our waitress; no one came to check on us. Our pasta entrees came 30 minutes after ordering, but they hadn’t brought the appetizer. A waitress told us it takes 45 minutes to make bruschetta! It’s just toasted bread with uncooked diced tomatoes and shaved cheese. The pasta chicken Marcella had 5 small 1 inch square pieces of chicken and about 3 cups of penne and a small amount of sauce. The meat lasagna was perfect. The waitress needs retraining: should have checked on us and told us why there was a long delay. Also never put in an entree order until the appetizer is ready to serve. The cook needs retraining in proportions of ingredients for penne chicken marsalla and in how to cook a 5 minute appetizer in 5 minutes, not 45 minutes. The manager apologized and lowered the total bill by 50% and comped the brushetta.

The epitome of Chicago deep dish pizza. One of the best if not the best. Always consistent and excellent pizza, salads and apps. Naperville a great eat in location. Wish there were more eat in locations around Chicago and the burbs. Eat in is few and far between but lots of take out locations to enjoy Lou’s most anywhere in greater Chicagoland area.
