The London Chop House is a revitalized Detroit institution. The restaurant aims to entertain all desires of its guests with everything from Wagyu Beef to Caviar Service and offering a Cigar/Billiards Lounge on the ground level. Live music is featured nightly and valet parking is available.

The London Chop House is open for dinner service Monday-Saturday. Private parties are available in multiple private dining spaces for groups of all sizes. The London Chop House was originally open from 1938-1991 and reopened in 2012 as one of Detroit's greatest dining traditions.

First time here and will not go back. They brought us food we didn’t order but they took it off bill. My dinner was not prepared the way menu stated My husband and son stayed their steaks were good. But for me been there done that. Plus we were there to celebrate birthdays which they knew and there was no nothing no treats post meals I was shocked. Every fancy expensive restaurant we go to every year for birthdays we get something. I know it’s not about that but then why ask when we are booking a reservation?

UPDATE!!!!!! We received a phone call from Bjorn the GM at the restaurant. CRAZY that he called so quickly asking to fix our situation. We agreed. He agreed to reimburse us for this misunderstanding. I appreciate the steps to keep us as a customer. VERY TIMELY response - everyone makes mistakes but Bjorn knows how to fix them. THANK YOU WE GOT RIPPED OFF!!!! If you are an NFL fan looking for an restaurant during the draft, go to Applebees or McDonalds! WE GOT SWINDELED! We ordered a reasonably priced bottle of wine and we got served a $500 bottle of wine with the same name. BE CAREFUL! Be mindful what you're ordering. They are out to take your money!!!

Every time I dine at London Chop House I am never disappointed. Our server Pete was amazing and very helpful. The food blew past my expectations and the live band was astounding. Me and my date enjoyed everything.

Been here several times. However the quality of food and service is going down hill. My $155.00 dollar steak was mostly burnt and didn’t really taste good. The Mac and Cheese was runny/soupy. Which is not normal from my previous experiences. They sat us in a back corner which was not comfortable to sit at because of the rounded seating bench. The dessert menu needs a serious upgrade. Even the people sitting around us at other tables were disappointed in the dessert menu. They need to offer things everyone likes. Like maybe a triple layer chocolate cake or tiramisu. The environment is nice, the history is cool when they remember to tell you about it. But this was probably our last visit. Going to try some other steak houses. For two people our bill was $365.00.

Gave me the booth I wanted and my favorite waiter was not available but he visited with us throughout the night! His replacement was awesome too. Food great as always

I love this place. The Doorman - Dorian Graves really kicks off a wonderful evening. It has the old school clubby atmosphere. The steaks are incredible and not grossly over priced like they are at some other newer steakhouses in downtown Detroit...especially P&P. The wine was excellent and well priced and the drinks were "stout!" Service (Ericka) was excellent too and she was very attentive, but not hovering. We will be back again and again...

Fantastic spot. I’ve been to a lot of great steak houses and this is on the top of the list. Not sure I have a desire to go back to Detroit but if I do I’m definitely coming back!

What a great experience. Classic steakhouse vibes with outstanding food. Service was also outstanding and if ever in Detroit again it would definitely be on the list of go to’s.

Sad to post this….. The Chop House was a regular go to spot for us for many years. After being away, we decided to dine there the other night when we came to town. Two words to describe our meal overall were bland and warm. The oysters Rockefeller were enjoyable. The salads were OK but the main courses were both bland and luke warm. Not sure if they sat too long before they came to the table. Both were under-spiced, the foie gras burger was actually greasy. The ambiance was wonderful as it always is. The piano player was fantastic. As I mentioned before our server was quite personable. Overall thoughts are we may be back for cocktails and appetizers to enjoy the ambiance but that’s all.

Our steak and lamb chops were excellent. U-12 shrimp were huge my beef barley soup was just okay. Crab Bisque was great and so was the carrot cake, serving size was extra large, service impeccable and I loved the atmosphere.

Old school ambience in an elegant dining space. This was an experience reminiscent of a bygone era. Greeted by polite valet and a door man. Coat check optional and appreciated. The table was set with black linens and shaded candle. Service was excellent and attentive. The French onion and crab bisque soups were rich and decadent. Dry aged ribeye was trimmed of fat and but marbled throughout. My husband enjoyed every bite. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked to medium. Brussel sprouts with sweet potatoes and bacon was a meal in itself. I enjoyed a blueberry faux-jito non alcoholic beverage garnished with mint. We enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.

Usually our service is outstanding at London, so this is a first for us everyone was outstanding…. Except idk if our waitress didn’t like us or was just done with her night! But she just kind of ignored us…. We had to wave her down after like 40 mins, so she can bring us bread & take our order… anyway I love love love London Chop house! The chef did amazing like always all the food was amazing 🔥 & our leftovers were amazing as well steak was still tender & juicy even reheated 🤌🏽👏🏽🫶🏽🙌🏽😋

Our first time a since we were celebrating a birthday meant it needed to be extra special an indeed it was. I wanted nothing but the best! And that’s exactly what we got. The restaurant and staff was every bit of amazing and they catered to us like no other. Delicious food! Top shelf drinks and outstanding service. I’m so glad it was our first choice. This restaurant is truly exquisite!

My wife and I really enjoyed our evening out and we were both happy that we decided to dine at the Chop House!! This was our second time dining there and both times experienced great service, food and the atmosphere is a gem!! From the valet and everything in between, perfect!! Last, the soft music was right on!! Love this place!!

We love London Chop and make a point to visit a couple times each year. The band was great and our waiter was very knowledgeable, especially about wine. Our only complaint was the Cesar salad which our waiter promised us was indeed a Cesar salad but looked nothing and tasted nothing like a Cesar salad. Since when does Cesar salad have spinach (no romaine lettuce at all), radish, and bread crumbs….even the dressing was off. The salad was good, just not the Cesar salad we had been looking forward to.
