We were disappointed with this meal: cremini mushrooms had some odd additional spice; trout was accompanied by plain green beans and white rice with some odd vinegar based dipping sauce; paella was largely spiced rice with tiny tiny shrimp, pencil eraser sized scallops (I think); tiny tiny rings of calamari; dry fish pieces; and two scallops smaller than dime. There are hundreds of other restaurants here.

Delicious! This place never disappoints. A great bite to eat after a long day at the festival. Absolutely amazing!

Food was excellent, but the service was a little off; it appeared they were not prepared for the crowds coming in for Jazz Fest. Despite our reservation, we still waited roughly 10mins for our table, and then another 10mins for them to find a chair to complete our party. The food was delicious, but our space was too small for the pans that came with it. Would have preferred a bigger table, since most of the entrees require a lot of space to accommodate the pans they come in. Certainly worth the extra time, so willing to give them a second shot, but another time, maybe not as busy!

We eat at Lola’s yearly when we come to NOLA for JazzFest. The last couple of years we’ve really missed the ‘made in house’ rolls and this year the aioli (which I look forward to all year!) was hardly garlicky and didn’t have that slight lemon ‘punch’ of the past. Very sad! But, the shrimp pasta was its usual excellent! Reserved an outdoor table because last year we FROZE inside!

Service was poor. We had to ask if we had a waiter a couple of times before anyone came over and then she didn’t apologize. She was not knowledgeable of wine list. My appetizer and dinner were good but some of others with me weren’t as pleased with their dinners.
