LOCO TAQUERIA & OYSTER BAR FENWAY is a funky neighborhood joint located on Brookline Avenue in Boston that specializes in tacos, raw bar, and tequila.

Reservations for Red Sox home games and concerts at Fenway Park are very limited, we reserve most of the restaurant on a first come first serve basis those days.

The food is normally very good. Today not so much. Disappointing since it usually is so good. The meal also seems to be made differently.

Loco has a great menu with drinks and food that are reasonably priced. They do a great job with service. We ordered chips & guac with the chips having a really nice seasoning, rice bowls (two chicken and one steak), and tacos and all were great!

my roommates and I wanted a tame dinner and night out and taco tuesday was perfect for that! the tacos range from $3-4 each and it’s al a carte which is awesome so you can try multiple! the drinks are always good at loco, we had such a good time we already made a reservation to come back for taco tuesday!

This is primarily a bar. Guac & chips was good. We ordered two kinds of tacos. A pulled chicken and a shrimp one. The chicken one was dripping wet and had very little meat in it at all…like a tablespoon. The shrimp one was fine. Not excellent. Just fine. If I went again I would order a quesadilla, saw one that went by to another table and it looked better than what we ordered. Nothing was even remotely warm either. Margaritas were good.

Overall average...the positive....avocado & chips that taste good...but the recommendations is to review the plates before leaving the kitchen because the french toast was served overcooked/ burned.

Our server was amazing! I’m horrible with names but he was great. The food was delicious and came out so fast. Guacamole was very fresh & the chips had a good seasoning on them. Great space, very clean.

enjoyed everything about our visit except the bathrooms, it was actually hard to eat after using them mid meal.

Our only complaint is that there is actually not hot water available. That seems a bit odd, that it's virtually impossible to get hot water, at a restaurant. Everything else was outstanding here, food, service, ambiance, location, everything but the lack of hot water was super weird in that my partner, she likes to have hot water with lemon with dinner and this not being possible was a first. Very strange indeed.

It was ok. Wasn’t busy but server wasn’t particularly attentive. Food was just ok. I suspect when Bartaco opens it will be big competition. The fish taco was wet and not great flavor with what seemed to be a frozen fish stick in it. Chips and French fries all with a barbecue seasoning on them. Burger wasn’t bad though!

The Tuna ensalada was amazing! Very fresh tuna, beautiful yellow tomotoes and super pesto sauce. Great price for the amount. And low calorie high protein if that is what you care about. Especially at a Mexican restaurant. Great service, nice ambiance. Waitress was excellent!

Mexican street corn was a 10 out of 10! Home made chips and the Queso were phenomenal. Loved the ambiance. Heavy on the Xmas bulbs though. Liked having the water at our table to refill but we needed it more than we got it. The tacos were all good (carne asada, fish, tuna) but no flavor stuck out as WOW. Margaritas were average, way too much salt on the rim (and i love salt). Sangria didn't hit at all - missing flavor. Carne Asada meal was great - can totally hold on the sauteed scallions - Burria (?sp) trio of tacos very tasty. Was a bit shocked meal for 3 people was $175 before tip but I guess that's Boston! Will def come back on a Monday night for dollar oysters.

Food and drinks were great, taco's flavorful. Loved how decked out for Christmas it was. However, service was slow and the staff seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else.

We had a wonderful experience! The Christmas decor was stunning and the food and drinks were outstanding! I loved the holiday drink selection, highly recommend the Grinch drink! The service was amazing and the music was great!

I booked a reservation for a birthday, with a large party of 13 people. I had spoken with the manager the day before to confirm everything and he was great. Unfortunately, we waited over 40 minutes for this reservation and we were met with rude staff members. I am sympathetic to restaurant staff during the holiday season with how busy it can get, but our party received service that was very disappointing. The hosting staff particularly ruined our experience with their attitude. The food was fine however our waitress forgot several things, the lack of attentive and pleasant service was very frustrating. Will not be back.

Absolutely loved Loco! I went during Christmas time where all of the holiday decor looked unreal. The service is great and food arrives to the table quickly.

The restaurant got taken by surprise due to no baseball but army-navy game in town and so many fans going on Fenway tour. Not enough staff. The mango margarita was terrible and could not drank. Food was good. Music too loud for a non game day.

We made a reservation for 8:45 pm expecting it to be busy. When we got to the restaurant 15 minutes before the reservation, there were plenty of open tables so we were unhappy that they only had late reservations. We got seated and the waitress took our drink order, dropped off the drinks and then disappeared for 35 minutes doing everything but serving us. We ordered apps and dinner at once but asked for them to come out separate and that did not happen. All of the food was wildly mediocre. The taco salad was essentially just a ground beef and bean salad, the tacos were underwhelming and the nachos were too salty. The bathrooms were disgusting and the music did not match the holiday vibe that they were promoting. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Crazy loud. We had to ask for water glasses, utensils, plates, napkins more than once. Waitress seemed annoyed. Food was mediocre. Decorations were nice but not enough to make me go back.
