Enzo Rosano grew up in a town just outside of Naples, Italy. His fondest memories of his childhood are centered around his mother’s cooking and the spirited meals he shared with his eight siblings. Mama Carmela’s amazing cooking kept her children close to home throughout their childhood and young adulthood. Her culinary influence also played a role in Enzo’s decision to enroll in the Scuola Alberghieria Culinary and Hospitality program in Naples. Upon completion of his culinary training, Enzo landed a job as bartender at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Vong’s in London. Next was a stop as bar manager at The Berkeley Knightsbridge, a luxury property also in London. When he came to the Bay Area, his first stop was in Half Moon Bay where he helped open one of the town’s most popular restaurants, Mezza Luna, with family friend, Roberto Giovanni. At Caffe Riace,Enzo joined his brothers and worked alongside them as they made plans to open AquaPazza in San Mateo in 2008

Limited menu compared to the other Laconda restaurants. I would not recommend this one compared to the Danville or Pleasanton locations. We have not tried the new Brentwood one as yet.

What a sweet find! I needed to make a reservation for 9 for my daughter’s college graduation. This restaurant was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the decor is bright and cheery. They were very accommodating (getting us in earlier since the graduation ended early). Highly recommend for celebrations!

We enjoyed our dinner. Excellent wait staff. I love bronzino but was not entirely enthused about the presentation. Bronzino is a lovely, delicate white fish. I prefer the presentation in Italy (the Veneto region)--just brushed with olive oil. The tomato presentation overwhelmed the delicacy of the fish. The frito misto was excellent!

Mothers Day so very busy. Great table outdoors on patio, wonderful service. My Apperol Spritz was mostly ice and food not up to their standard based on previous visits. Hopefully just due to large crowd. Will try again in future

I had eaten at the Danville location and really enjoyed it. This was my first time at the Lafayette location and I was underwhelmed. The food was just ok. Not bad. But not worth the excursion. The beet salad was really an arugula salad with a few beets. The calamari in the Fritto Misto was tough. The Strozzapreti lacked depth of flavor. The lasagna was fine. Overall, it was just ok.

Business lunch.... Everyone loved the food.... Ravioli was fantastic.... Linguine with clams.... Gnocchi.... Margherita pizza .... Just great!

The restaurant is in a cute, converted house just off the Main Street. They took our reservation immediately. Marco was our server who was personable, attentive and sweet. Food was great but the prices were high for pasta. Parking was difficult since the brewery in front had lots of patrons, so allow time to park.
