Locanda Locatelli is one of the finest Michelin-starred Italian restaurants in London, owned by Giorgio Locatelli, noted as much for its conviviality as the quality of its food.

Born into a cooking dynasty in Corgeno on the shores of Lake Comabbio in Northern Italy, Giorgio Locatelli is considered by many to be one of the finest Italian chefs in the UK and the world. At Locanda Locatelli, Giorgio serves traditional Italian dishes, emphasising the quality and freshness of the produce as well as adding his own creative touch

Great meal, the sommelier was very helpful and I appreciated that he didn’t suggest the most expensive wines. Great takes on Italian dishes and the food was fantastic. I’ve been to his other restaurant in the Bahamas, and while I missed the Italian classics he served there, this was fantastic. We had the lobster and tomato pasta as well as the perfectly cooked John Dory.

Favourite restaurant. Great food good service. Reason not scored higher is because mango and passion fruit sorbet tasted of neither. It was far too lemony. Maitre d agreed after I asked him to taste it in the kitchen. He should have taken the dessert of our bill but didn’t. This was the first time that I have been disappointed by any aspect of the food offered

disappointed .. Our table was booked for 21.15 on Saturday 8th June. We were very much looking forward to enjoy an evening at Locanda Locatelli especially as I wanted to impress our son who came for a visit from Denver Colorado. Unfortunately the table we received was at the entrance to the main room near the kitchen. Felt really disappointed but did not say anything at the time as it was getting late for dinner and we wanted to proceed. I am not sure we will visit the restaurant again as the memory it left us from last night was anger and insulting No one should sit at this table when you aim to enjoy the evening with a good meal.

An outstanding dinner at Locanda Locatelli. Everything was absolutely delicious. The best burrata, pasta and pistachio gelato anywhere in London. A bread selection that offered up one delight after another. A superb bottle of Primitivo. Service was impeccable... exemplary. Highly recommended for a special occasion. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and for a very memorable evening.
