Beautiful dinner with friends. We ordered the rosemary garlic bread, arancini, and calamari for entres, and the four cheese pizza and prawn pizza to share for mains. Each dish was perfect and we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Overall food and experience was great. My colleague who had the spritzer said it could’ve had more oomf, and colleague who had potato pizza said truffle oil was too overpowering. But everything mostly ver good.

Sadly the food quality has gone down and for the price we were underwhelmed. Cocktails were the saving grace but overall we won’t be returning which is sad cause it used to be a favorite when we visited Canberra

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Negroni I ordered was one of the best I have had. The food was delicious and even better than we expected. Our first time here but it will now be our go to.

Excellent pizza! Definitely worth eating in as the pizza base was thin and crisp fresh from the oven. Toppings were simple & delicious. Would have enjoyed some more interesting non-alcoholic drinks.

I’ve been eating here since it opened. Food has always been excellent. Menu has reduced over the years, especially since the pandemic, showing that Locale’s management has been able to adapt in order to keep it alive. It’s not cheap, but its pizzas and pastas are still some of the best in Canberra, so well worth it. Cocktails and wine are very good too. Last night’s dinner was no exception. Well done and keep up the good work.

Food was delicious with nice variety to choose from. We had many shared plates and portions were a good size. Nice selection of drinks to choose from. Service was great not pushy or overbearing. Lovely place with warm welcoming decor.Would definitely return.

A nice return visit to Locale for an early dinner. The menu has gotten even smaller (Just gnochi and lasagne in the pasta section), but the pizza is still great and the winelist always has something nice from various Italian regions worth trying. Well worth a visit, still.

Locale is always a great option for good pizza in Canberra. Unfortunately, this time the pizza was underseasoned. The salt grinder on our table was not working, so we tried the salt grinders on 3 empty tables nearby - none of them worked, or they were empty. When we brought this to the attention of the staff this was addressed quickly, but when the grinder came back it wasn't much better. We will definitely be back, this was a minor inconvenience at a place that is overall very solid.

Not great…clearly they were overbooked. An hour and 20 minutes until food appeared..takeaway customers / customers finalising their bills lined up directly behind my seat, so close we were touching. I’ve been here numerous times before, but tonight I did not feel special. Food itself..lasagna dry and overcooked, entree arrived after mains, a single offer of water for the table. Tonight should be a lesson in not overstretching your staff and your kitchen. Get your ambience back!

Our meal was late because of some sort of mix up in kitchen, the waitress was great and very apologetic and gave us an extra glass of wine each. We felt forgotten

Lovely place for lunch with girlfriends! Quick service so friends can return to work in a timely manner. The stools are quite high around small table -so kinda tricky for placing purses. Great staff— thank u for taking our photo!

Pizzas are delicious. Music was really loud though so I couldn’t hear everyone at the table where there was only 5 of us. I would recommend takeaway.

We had a fantastic time! The food was great as usual, the staff were so friendly and fun and the atmosphere was nice quiet and warm even in the cold. Great wholesome place and would always recommend to any pizza lovers around!

My choice of Pizza had very little fillings except for slices of potato. The claimed Italian Sausage was almost non existent. The pizza base was good. I would try again making a different choice of pizza

Amazing venue as always! The food is delicious and can be easily shared amongst the group. The staff are really friendly and the service is delivered to a high standard.

Great food, service always a bit disappointing. They seem to keep you waiting ages to either place an order or receive drinks - especially when the restaurant is quiet.

I booked at a table in advance to ensure we wouldn’t be sat outside or at the bar. Upon arriving, I was told that another customer “was sitting at the table I had booked” and that our only choice was outside or at the bar. No attempt was made by either waitress to ask the customer sitting at our table to move to the bar or, if they had finished dining, to vacate the table so we could be seated. Pretty annoying when you go to the trouble to book a table in the first place, and when my friend is 6 months pregnant. Hope this doesn’t happen again.
