Came to take my wife for Mother’s Day. Food was great and drinks. A little louder than anticipated but it was Mother’s Day. Wish there was better seating arrangement as it is a small restaurant. Our waiter was amazing, knew the menu well and gave us great recommendations. Overall, a nice upbeat place for date night or to hang with the family for a nice bite. Had the RKO Burger which was delicious. WOW! My wife had the shrimp tacos and wings (house hot) and enjoyed it as well. Will definitely be coming back!

intimate setting. Variety of options for menu items. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio, but i can tell that if we were inside, it would have been a bit crowded and cramped.

The food was delicious. They provide a good amount of food for the price. I will definitely return for another visit. I had the seafood dish with sausage, mussels, red fish and shrimp. My friend had the pork chop. Great location but when we arrived there was limited parking. We had to leave the restaurant parking lot to park across the street.

I’ve enjoyed this place for years and have eaten here multiple times for lunch and dinner. Perhaps this was an off day, but seemed like a dip in food quality and service. Still an interesting menu, great location, and terrific ambiance.

Loved the food. I had the Sweet Thang salad with chicken. Serving size was perfect. Our server was very attentive and patient. I was catching up with an old friend and it took us a while before we ordered. When we finally ordered our server was quick to place the order. I will definitely go back again.

Service was slow. We ordered 2 cocktails and 2 beers came out with the food instead of before. We came to try the burger special-skimpy on the sauce and my tomatoe was the size of a pickle. Fries were extra but $5 seems high for the amount provided.

The bang bang shrimp was 5/5. The main courses were great despite a delay. K had the steak special, with mashed potatoes and cauliflower (which were crunchy and good). My chicken francaise and mashed potatoes was good too. I substituted the broccoli for brussel sprouts and they were some of the best I’ve had. The cheesecake was dense and came with strawberry compote, which helped, but we didn’t finish it and didn’t want the leftover. They had a military discount, which we appreciated. We didn’t get our main course until we had been there for an hour, so maybe it took 45 min? We wondered if the server had to correct our order or something because she came back over to make sure she got it right. The location is nice, right beside Dreamland and we had a nice parking spot. The Opentable reservation was perfect. I thought the restaurant was going to be bigger. It’s decent, just loud and not romantic, but good for a hangout….well, a $100 hangout.

I truly enjoyed my meal and the ambiance of Local North. The only negative for me was that they there was food debris on the floor around some of the tables, but other than that it was a good experience.

Excellent food. Bruschetta, Mahi Mahi and grouper tacos were all great! Even the sides were delicious. We had a poor experience with service. Had a reservation (Obviously) but had to argue with the host who at first couldn’t find it. Waited 20 minutes for our server to come by the table. Server had an attitude the remainder of the meal even though we had not complained to anyone. An odd experience.

Smaller place than I expected. Nothing fancy, but great atmosphere. Great service, delicious food and drinks. I couldn’t decide between 2 wines to enjoy with my mahi mahi, so our server brought me a sample of each. Very thoughtful. We have found a new favorite place. Downtown Duluth is a great place for date nights.

Locating in the square of Duluth this restaurant is amazing free parking next to it or across the street on the middle school parking lot after 5 PM. Nice and quiet place.Great food good portions good prices the mussels were excellent. The paella perfect I have not found a dish I do not like yet Make reservation online and enjoy time with friends or family even romantic evening

Local on North is my new fave spot. I met a friend for dinner and ordered the house special - Parmesan Risotto w/Grilled Chicken, Mushrooms, & Spinach. It was absolutely delicious! The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The risotto was perfect. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.

A great time was had! We showed up with a larger party than expected, our waiter was amazing. He understood the situation and adapted well. All of our orders were right, the food was hot and everything tasted great. We will definitely be back!

Lemon pepper wings on POINT. Local salad with grilled chicken was amazing. Only issue was the server who delivered our food repeatedly ignored our request for more dressing and sauce. Took 3 requests and a different individual. To be clear, it wasn't our main server...but the food runner. Regardless he basically ignored us. That's the only reason for the service rating.

It was a nice place with very good food and ambiance. The menu does not have anything unique but they execute well the usual US brunch staples (avocado toast, smoked salmon Benedict, hamburger, etc). If someone ever asks me to recommend a good brunch place in that area, I will think of Local on North.
