Took my wife for Mother's Day and was surprised to find that the only option was eating buffet. This is typically a fairly higher end establishment for this area and I would expect of all days, Mother's day would be no exception. The food was cold, the desserts were prepackaged and tasteless. We were seated by the door, and watched numerous people with reservations leave because they were not aware of the buffet only dining. The only reason we stayed was because we have tried to find a last minute table on Mother's day and know it is an impossible task. I spoke to the manager, and while he did take 30% off my bill, he tried to tell me that a hostess "spent the last 2 days calling every reservation to let them know." Well, 1- I never received a call. And 2- it is impossible to get a reservation secured around here on Mother's day with only 2 days notice any way. I witnessed the owner allowing his front door slam in a ladies' face as he pushed his way in the door from the parking lot as well. Just overall a terrible experience and I will not be returning. And I have been a customer for the almost 3 years we have lived in Canton. As a business owner myself, I refuse to support this type of ownership.

We were not informed that the restaurant was only offering a buffet when we made our reservations, which was $60.00 per person, which our waiter told us once we were seated. Unfortunately, we had to decline the buffet, as I could not partake in it due to my dietary restrictions, and also found it to be overpriced for the food offered. We paid for our drinks and left. This event was meant to be a Mother's Day celebration for my young daughters and me, and we were disappointed with the outcome.

We weren’t aware Sunday brunch was a buffet. Until Thursday afternoon. By that point i couldn’t make another reservation somewhere else. The buffet wasn’t listed anywhere that i saw. And o picked the place because i didn’t see a set menu or a per head cost. Super expensive especially if you paying for 6 people that definitely didn’t eat $60 worth of food.

Disappointed - on the day that we booked, there was no notification of a change in the regular menu & that it would only be a set buffet with set price pp. Many diners were also surprised and not happy about not knowing ahead of time. Someone in our party has a severe gluten allergy & the buffet wasn’t accommodating. So she had very little to eat and we paid the same amount. Any changes from usual dining options should be made public on your site to allow people to make informed decisions before booking.

Went for Mother's Day brunch - a buffet for $59/adult. Food was just OK - would expect better at that price. Buffet was in middle of restaurant, causing people to wait right next to (above) where others are eating. Poor sound control, i.e., loud.

Great place to share dinner with friends. Comfortable environment, easy to talk and hear, great service and very tasteful food. We have been going to Local on North for many years and have never been disappointed and our first time guests very much enjoy. Thank you, again!

Good food, good service, as usual. Excellent musician but way too loud. Too bad because we like this restaurant. If you are going for the entertainment, that's fine. For dinner and conversation with friends, not quite as good.

Perfect date night with some live jazz. Perfect. Food was delish. My man enjoyed a juicy burger, and I had the Mediterranean Chicken Pasta. Drinks were on par too.

Fantastic dinner at Local on North with my husband. Atmosphere was casual, and they had live music and the cocktails were amazing. From appetizers to dessert, everything was impeccable. We will definitely return!

Love the atmosphere here, especially on the weekend. They have a live jazz style band playing tunes that you can sing along to. The food is tasty and the cocktails are delicious.

We have been here at least a dozen times over the past few years. This is the first time we noticed a mandatory 20% gratuity added onto the bill after food and taxes. We sat at the round table for six after we got home, we brought the menu up online and saw the fine print at the bottom of the menu. Don’t know when this policy started, but they should make people aware of it before they receive the check.

Enjoyed a great meal at Local on North on Friday night. Our server was Angel. He greeted us warmly and got three of us cocktails. We started with the Eggplant starter (fyi - not on the online menu.) It was really outstanding. Eggplant stuffed with goat cheese and a Pomodoro sauce. Suggest offering as an entre with slightly larger portion. My friends each ordered a Local Salad. The portion was larger than they anticipated. I had the soup of the day which was Dill Pickle and Potato. It was unique and very delicious. I had the duck special. Duck breast seared with mushroom risotto and green beans. Really enjoyed it. My wife had the Fugeddaboudit Pizza and loved it. My friend got the Steak Frites and said it was great. We sat by the open kitchen which has pros and cons. One pro was watching the prep team and runners. It was obvious they took pride in their work. They worked well as a team with the chefs and the servers. My only minor gripe is that we felt a little rushed. Barely finished the starter and soups and salads landed. Same thing for the entrees. Would ask to slow the pace down just a notch. Overall a fantastic experience and will be back soon.

LON is a go to when my wife and I go on a date. The service has always been great and the food will not disappoint. You cant go wrong going to LON. Also OpenTable has never let us down. If available Ill reserve through them.

I hate sitting right next to the expo line But I’ve sat there a couple times so far. It was really noisy so hard to have a conversation with people at my table. We had the burger and the chicken. Burger was definitely not worth $18. It had no flavor. The chicken was good and the fried potato cake was really good. My my favorite part of the whole night was fried chocolate cake. I’ll go back just for that.

Local on North is one if our favorite restaurants in Canton. The food is excellent. Service is excellent. The jazz ensemble that plays regularly is very good and adds to the ambience to every occasion.
