L'oca D'oro, signifiant "oie d'or" en italien, a été inspiré par le surnom de la fille du chef Tedesco, Lucy Goose. Le chef Tedesco présente une variété de plats italiens dans des formats individuels ou à partager. Utilisant uniquement et soigneusement des ingrédients de saison, la plupart des produits sont faits maison, tels que les pâtes créées à partir de grains fraîchement moulus, du pain, du fromage, des vinaigres et des liqueurs. Join Chef Fiore and Reem Assil (California), founder/CEO of Tiny Fish Co., to raise money for Good Work Austin. The GWA Culinary Training Program will recruit and pay trainees from numerous non-profit partners like Foundation Communities, Urban Roots, Settlement Home and more to learn life skills through kitchen and hospitality instruction. All trainees will receive instruction in GWA's commercial kitchen and at various GWA restaurants around Austin and are ultimately guaranteed job interviews at restaurants that pay living wages.

Outstanding meal, great environment and service. My dad needed low salt options and the restaurant was very accomodating. We loved our experience.

Food was amazing we got the grapefruit salad, polenta, and radiotore pesto. The spritzes were yummy and in a good sized glass. Our waiter gave us great menu and drink recommendations and was fast and attentive. We’ll be back.

Though food was (as always) incredible and fresh, the clear highlight was the ducklings and mom outside the window in the plant pot.

Food was delicious but the service wasn't great. Things took a while, didn't come out together and there were a few mix-ups with what we were supposed to get. They just seemed a little overwhelmed or short-staffed

Thanks for letting us know. We're always working on improving and overwhelmed is not ever what we want to hear about service. I'm glad the food has been consistent and delicious. Great food, at a good price. Everything tastes fresh and is nicely portioned. Their holiday meals are always a treat.

The cacio de Pepe was dry and didn’t have much sauce. The pancakes were sour and seemed to be made with buckwheat or sourdough. The “syrup” was molasses and not maple syrup leading to an unpleasant at worst and unexpected at best experience with the pancakes.

I'm so sorry and disappointed that you didn't like either the pasta or the pancakes. We can definitely always remake a dish if it's not made correctly or bring out something else that you'd prefer and I'm sorry that we didn't offer that yesterday or find out that you weren't satisfied with what you did order. If you'd like to contact me privately, maybe we can figure out a way to get you in to try our regular menu and see why L'Oca d'Oro has been a special restaurant for so many for the last 8 years. Our favorite date night spot. Have loved everything on the menu. Can't go wrong with a spritz made with one of the housemade liqueurs or an Italian soda, the meatballs and focaccia, and a housemade pasta dish or two. And it's worth getting a cannoli to go. Love sitting at the bar to watch the chefs make everything. HH is a great time to go with pastas half off.
