Entrees were great! House salad was average as much of the lettuce had bad spots in it. One person had the Caesar salad and said it was quite good! The bread was just average.

Came to Lo Conte’s after reading positive reviews only to find that it is no longer the same owners / chef or menu. Server from many years clearly no longer wants to work there. Food was terrible. Like really bad. We were hoping for quality Italian food (we live in NYC and eat out often) but it was inedible and only had a few bites before leaving it all. It was also premade as I know how these dishes are made and the food came out in minutes, impossible for a fresh cooked meal. Restaurant was old, tired, in disrepair (chairs are even falling apart), walls peeling and flaking off. We were so disappointed especially after walking by dozens of other much more appealing places that we would have gone instead if someone had warned us this was no longer the same restaurant owner, chef or experience most of these reviews referenced. I don’t write bad reviews (rarely any at all ) but feel compelled as this needs to be said. Steer clear. There was one very polite friendly server who kept apologizing for the awful experience and who informed us of the personnel changes. I cannot express enough how terrible of a meal we had.

Always a great experience at Lo Conte's. Friendly and warm atmosphere. Delicious food that comes out hot and delicious.

This was marathon weekend so the entire North End- packed. I made sure to make a RSVP earlier that week here to guarantee we were in and out for our son's flight out of Logan. We had to wait for entire party to sit, but the chef came out and made sure were greeted, as this restaurant has no host/hostess. We did get a great table. Service was ok. Server did not come over right away, and as well did not immediately offer water or bread. We had to ask a couple of times. Actually the chef came and supported that server for this. Meals were good. Smaller portions, but truly enough for me. Overall this old time classic establishment was a decent meal. I wish though our server perhaps were a little more attentive.

We live in a small town in New Hampshire and Lo Conte’s is our favorite place to eat in the North End. We have had subscription seats at the Boston Opera House for several years and almost always eat at Lo Conte’s after the show. We are sometimes a party of only 2, but sometimes 4, or 6 and once 8. Regardless how many in our party, or in the restaurant (last Saturday evening, during Marathon weekend, they had 250 dinner reservations), the service is always fantastic and the food outstanding. On top of that, the venue is quaint and the value can’t be beat. If you have not enjoyed Lo Conte’s, the odds are high that if you go, you will become a regular.

Excellent and cozy spot in the North End. We went for dinner on a busy Satruday night with college-age kids. The owner/chef welcomed us and we sat right on time. Really nice service, good bread, family style salad. Veal saltimbuca was excellent, rest of fmaily had pasta dishes, all home-made and good. Prices were quite reasonable. We'll be back, neighborhood gem.

We were seated in the front window, and Chef Mike came and spent significant time with us throughout the evening. We we so incredibly well-cared-for. My wife's family has been coming to this restaurant on special occasions since she was a child, and I've been coming for 20 years. New ownership is doing a great job, and retained long-time staff. It was a joy to share this place with colleagues while traveling for work, and give them a true Boston North End experience.
