In January 2020, Little Madrid Tapas Café opened in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood, a small, cozy, and colorful space. The restaurant transported guests back to Old Madrid with its warm atmosphere, delicious flavors, and enticing aromas that emanated from the kitchen. With a global pandemic raging around the world, Little Madrid Tapas Café remained a steady presence in the neighborhood and soon emerged as one of the best Spanish restaurants in Chicago.

Food was good but service was uneven and slow even though the restaurant was not busy. Not sure I would go back.

We've been looking for an authentic Spanish Tapas place since our favorite closed during the pandemic. Little Madrid did not disappoint. Owner/Chef greeted us and was warm and friendly. Made some great recommendations and everything we had was truly amazing, authentic and felt like we were eating in Madrid. Highly recommend as it will become one of our go to's from now on

Met some friends together with my brother to celebrate Mother’s Day at my favorite restaurant, Little Madrid. We were welcomed and treated very special as always. I ordered albondigas (meat balls) which were delicious, patatas bravas, and Tortilla de Patatas (Spanish omelette). Everything was superb. The dessert was beyond words, cheesecake made with Spanish cheeses. My friends, were super impressed by this gastronomic experience and will be returning soon as well. I’m so happy I can experience this taste of Madrid here in Chicago

This is our second visit, and it certainly won’t be our last. From the amazing staff to the delicious food to the unique ambience – this is an experience we highly recommend. The tapas style menu is perfect for sharing and we love the paella! It’s BYOB - so you can bring your favorite drink to pair with a fabulous meal.

Delicious and authentic tapas They very clearly offer pixtos portions of most of the tapas which are great to offer a smaller dinner party portion or to add for a larger group Standouts were the croquetas, meatballs, Serrano ham on grated tomato bread, wished we had more room to try more but it’s a better reason to go back The tables for two are a little tight, BYOB until May 15th 2024

My wife and I had a great experience at Little Madrid. We went on a Thursday evening and it was cozy and quiet. The food was excellent, especially the Queso de Cabra and Albondigas. No liquor license at the time, but it sounds like it's coming soon. Definitely would recommend!

Little Madrid is one of my wife and I’s favorite restaurants as it has consistently great Spanish food. Highlights include the Corte Little Madrid meat and cheese platter, Salmorejo soup, Euro bacon, and patatas bravas. No matter what we order you can tell time and care was put into it. The staff is very attentive and the owner, Fransisco, always takes time to talk, even when its busy. We always take friends to Little Madrid. Highly recommended!
