For over 40 years, our family has served traditional Cantonese food and dim sum to generations of devoted customers. We’re proud to continue that tradition, while at the same time, making it our own.

For centuries, it has been Chinese custom to pair dim sum’s delicious bite-size dumplings, buns and other small snacks with freshly brewed tea for morning and mid-afternoon meals. This pairing led to the expression “yum cha,” which not only means “to drink tea,” but also symbolizes getting together with friends and family.

At Little Bird, we’re starting our own tradition. We believe that “yum cha” means getting together with friends and family for dim sum at any time. Not just paired with aromatic teas, but also amazing local craft beers and wines.

Excellent dim sum, with a few twists but still traditional and authentic. A very small place, a bit loud with a table of 8 next to us, but still loved it. Would absolutely go back

Great food prepared and served by great people. Small place so things can be a little tight. I could pretty much tell you all about the women’s life sitting next to me, the high and low lights. Hi pitched and loud. Still she couldn’t ruin a great food experience.

So happy I finally made it out. I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time now, and it didn't disappoint. Would've loved to have tried everything, but only went with the signature dishes this time. All of them were excellent. I can't wait to come back and try the things I didn't.

I was incorrectly given a pork dumpling despite having never ordered it. I am vegan and have been for 9 years so I accidentally ate meat which I still do this day am horrified about. After finally getting the waiters attention she kind of laughed about it and said “you never ordered the pork dumpling” with a winking expression on her face as if to say I won’t be making you pay for that dish. I thought to myself well obviously I won’t be paying for a dish I didn’t order especially if being meat which I don’t eat. They should have refunded the entire order to be honest. I didn’t feel like they really understood the extent to which of how disgusted I felt by having eaten meat that day. Not to mention to try get waiters attention in a small space was virtually impossible

We had a great dinner at Little Bird. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic - every dish was just right and so fresh. We left full and satisfied. Would definitely eat here again.

Great dinner only down side was that all 7 items we ordered came almost at once & could barely fit on our tiny table. I definitely recommend asking that only 2 items are served at a time - felt like it all happened way to fast and was hard to eat it all once while it was hot.

Cool vibe and the food comes out fast! My friend had a mushroom allergy and unfortuantely all the greens/salads items on the menu had mushroom in them.

Excellent food every time we eat at Little Bird. Food is excellent. Service is fantastic. Highly recommend! Be sure to try a little bit of everything! They offer a great variety and the food is so fresh! The spring rolls are probably the best we’ve ever had.

The seating arrangement was not appealing- more like an uncomfortable waiting room. However the food was ok although most of it were previously prepared and heated up. Some of the dishes tasted much the same. The egg tarts were good. We thought it specialized in serving craft beer but that was disappointing. We are very familiar with dim sum so we were disappointed after reading the reviews. We arrived at 5 pm at opening time and told we had to leave within 90 minutes. I suppose it must get busy. Not that day.

I was annoyed that I made a reservation but we still got seated right by the kitchen. Couldn’t we have gotten a better seat for planning ahead?

We eat here a lot but we were disappointed this time. The custard buns were solid although edible. One item was burnt and did not have much filling. I guess Chefs are allowed off days. We will be back.

It was nothing special considering it was Michelin recommended. You can definitely get better dim sum and better value at Floata on Keefer! And when they try to promote craft beers in the name it’s very limited. Nice staff but just ok food and drinks overall.

In a city renowned for its exquisite Asian cuisine, I find myself perplexed by the overwhelming praise this establishment receives. It seems that its popularity may be attributed to publicity stunts and the herd mentality prevalent among Vancouverites who avidly support anything associated with Seth Rogen, us included! As one of those Vancouverites, curiosity led us to give this place a try, only to be sorely disappointed. The food, lacking in authenticity and overwhelming flavour, consists mainly of greasy, salty fried food labeled as dim sum that leaves much to be desired. As noted by other patrons the subpar service and the discovery of a hair in our food only made it worst.

I love the food. They are all delicious and I will go back again for sure but I would not recommend people should go there with a group of 6 or more. The service isn't good compared to the one when I go there with 2 or 3 but they still charge 18 percent of service tip. I am a bit disappointed.

Over priced for the food quality and quantity. Did not taste authentic or like fusion food. Tasted like less flavourful dim sum. Really disappointing. Service was sporadic and staff was not well informed about allergens despite asking about allergens after we ordered.

Outstanding. Some of the best dim sum we've had. Impeccable preparation and it's made to order so it's very fresh. Egg tarts take a while because they bake them to order but it's worth the wait. Small but very good selection of draft beer.

This is a great restaurant with a modern up to date take on traditional Dim Sum cuisine. Nice to know that the family tradition of Flamingo Restaurant is carrying on to the future.
