Overlooking the lake and golf course, Links Restaurant offers a buffet style of dining, in a relaxed environment with alfresco and indoor seating options, and an abundance of choice on the menu.

Links Restaurant is a favourite of both locals and visitors to Launceston, and serves up the city’s best buffet dinner every Friday and Saturday night. The buffet offers an all-you-can-eat experience, including soup, seafood, a wide selection of hot dishes, salad bar and roast meat options served by our Chefs. There is also a decadent selection of desserts that’s an ever-popular choice for families!

Best value for money in town..always good food and atmosphere..After last visit maybe a minimum standard of dress should be introduced as some diners were quite scruffy and smelly....no dirty work clothes...make it smart casual!!!

Highly recommend a visit to Links for their buffet, all you can eat, was absolutely delicious, staff were fantastic.

Everything was really amazing and enjoyable but some of the waitress staff were a little bit rude and abrupt also they closed everything off before everyone had finished. A lady was trying to fill here plate and the staff were taking away the food as she was serving her food .

We found Links to be quite disappointing. We booked a large table of 14 for a combined birthday /Mother’s Day celebration. Our waitress was extremely blunt from the get go , to the point of rudeness. The line up to the buffet was lengthy and she proceeded to almost shout at us to clear the doorway. We had seemingly just finished eating our mains from the buffet and she was informing us in a loud voice that we had limited time left to eat before it would be cleared. So we rushed through desserts and washed it down with heavily overpriced drinks. The buffet was dismal. Many salads had run out and weren’t replenished. I was given not even half a slice of lamb from the carvery. The choices were few and the quality was poor, both mains and dessert. Given that our entire bill came to just under $1000!! Yes that’s right , paying $40 each for tiny kiddies who ate a bowl of soup and a bought in ice cream bowl is incredulous , not to mention the phenomenal price for pre mix soft drink per glass. The whole experience was rushed, overpriced and not worth even half of what we paid. You’ve lost our business Never again

This is the second time we’ve eaten here and it was another great experience. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was delicious and the space was nice and clean. Will happily be back again.

We booked for 9:30 am. Upon arrival we were told breakfast finished at 10am. With 2 kids to serve it felt very rushed. Someone came at 9:50 to remind us breakfast is finishing. Should be a warning when booking so you can choose an earlier time. Buffet was average. No poached eggs and all our fried eggs were under done. Juice selection was only pineapple or orange. My daughter and I ended up having water For the price I don’t think it’s worth it

Had a lovely meal. Plenty of gluten free food. Staff are very nice. Many choices for both savoury and sweet food. Compliments to the chef. Thanks also for labelling so well for those like me with food allergies, this is extremely helpful.

staff not interested, the breakfast buffet was below expectations, staff were not engaging so cold under cooked or over cooked food was all that was on offer I won't come again. the last time I had a breakfast here a few years back it was amazing please review the current standards

Food very good but price very pricy for a bistro was well over 200 dollars for a family of 5 adults and a 2 years old child who ate very little food drinks were expensive as well

The buffet dinner was outstanding 👌 absolutely love how you get to pick and choose what you'd like to eat. I absolutely loved the lamb last night it was perfect. Definitely will be coming back

Amazing options for food, so many choices. Food was fresh and delicious, and the soup option was great. Many dessert options too. Free tea and coffee was such a great option for us too, tea during our meal then coffee for after. You could order at your table with a code on your phone and wait staff came round and we could order drinks that way too. The staff were all friendly and polite and we will definitely return ext time we're in Launceston, thank you .

The current menu is delicious. The calamari was amazing and for someone like me that isn’t a salad fan they were all fantastic and went back for more.

We had to wait a bit to be seated even though there was only 2 groups of 3 people already seated. 2 waiters walked passed without even acknowledging us. The coffee was tepid and I love a hot coffee. The array of hot food was good but unappetising the bacon was stuck together. Cooking toast it went through once and was warm bread put it through again and it was burnt toast.

For a starters they class children 12 and under and if you have a 13 year old they will be charged as an adult which falls with my next part. The price is way to much for what it is tbh $50 per adult then to pay so much money on drinks there as they are not included just not worth the price to be honest.

Had my 70th birthday on 25/2/2024 I took my own cake then later they bought it out on a plate even had a candle on it for me and lit it also bought plates out to use for serving cake. Couldn't do enough for us all . Thank you so much Regards Julie

Horrible place to eat. Feels like you are queued at a trough. Used to be lovely. Now you queue for average food and not much of it. Needs to be another section. Felt sorry for the people trying to eat their meals with people queued around them. Not sure if dress code as there didn't appear to be one. People dressed in thongs and crocs. Never again.

Booked in at 9:30. Told food finished at 10 but did not need to leave then. Still eating at 10 and told to basically hurry up as the cleaners wanted to come in. Not good enough.

Had to pay $100 for the 5 people who did not show up - which was very extreme, especially considering we were from an Aged Care facility and illnesses happen

There was plenty of everything and the quality and range of the offerings was generally very good although, being the last sitting, it was apparent that a couple of items (eg chicken drumsticks) had become dried out and were disappointing. However when an item was depleted it was replenished with a fresh plate of the same item very quickly.

we had a lovley birthday lunch here, the food was outstanding! They were also refilling everything pretty fast. We brought out own cake and the staff brought it out with plates and spoons and even got us a candle, I couldn't be more happy with the service.
