Lovely Sunday evening outing. Our waitress was very attentive and described all of our dishes very well. The Sea Bass and the Sachertort were delicious.

Meh. Nice space, mediocre service, uninspired and underperforming menu. Squash tartine was excellent. Tofu was mediocre at best. Sea bass was good but tiny. Frisée salad was a nothing burger.

The place has an amazing view. The food was delicious, but the best part was the service. The hostess was kind to change our seats since we were very cold outside.

It was my wife’s birthday and we went out with our youngest son for her bday. We had a great time….for a Tuesday it was very busy….graduations I think? Nonetheless we loved it…great food and drinks

Very disappointed. We made this reservation months in advance to celebrate our son's graduation from UC Berkeley. Got seated in Siberia, no view, and the food was decidedly iffy. Fish sandwiches were good, pasta virtually inedible. Fries and pasta were cold, took forever to get condiments delivered. The only bright spot was our server, who was very pleasant. They seemed short staffed. Super expensive to boot.

Great location , very nice view off the deck . Food is very average, choices are very limited , prices are sky high and they are short staffed ! You pay 300$ for lunch for 4 people with no drinks and you have to wait forever for everything ! Totally not worth it except for the view . Which you might get somewhere else without all the above issues and better quality food and faster service

Review would have been all 5 stars, except this is the second time visiting Limewood wherein the hostess was totally rude. We had a reservation for lunch at 11:45a, but waiting to be seated until noon. Zero interaction or acknowledgement from the hostess. I checked in again. We were a party of six, one pregnant and other very tall individuals. Hostess attempted to squeeze us into four top with extra two chairs. There were plenty of other tables available. She was upset when we did not want to sit there and rudely stated we would have to wait longer. We did, they set another table for 6, and the remainder of the lunch was fantastic. The server and general manager were fabulous.

Not great. Normally I would consider the food and ambiance worth this price, but our service was SO poor. It took 15 min beyond our reserved time for the staff to seat us. They served our food more than an hour later. The delivered order was incorrect and incomplete. I’m sure they do well at other times, but our experience was a fail.

We could not have asked for better weather and the view on the patio was incredible. Food and drinks were delicious as usual and even though the restaurant was packed even on a Friday for lunch the service was great.

Wonderful place to have a nice lunch/dinner. You can't beat the view and the food is really fresh and delicious. The service is great, always greeted with a smile and attentive wait staff. I always love coming back.

Outstanding food, service, and view. If the weather is nice, you cannot beat the view from the outdoor patio. This is a must go to.

For some reason there is always a delay at the check-in desk. Otherwise, a reliable venue with very good food and table service. The waitperson was especially solicitous of my companion’s food allergies.

Our party of four arrived about 12 minutes late for our brunch reservation due to church getting out late, but still within the 15 minute grace period. We were seated on the patio right away. (I had called on our way and left a voicemail that we were route.). It was a few minutes before we got coffee, but our server was quite busy. It was quite chilly so asked about blankets and they brought some out to us. There are SMALL heaters attached to the umbrella stands but with a cool breeze blowing I don’t think the heaters could keep up. Our beverages and food came out promptly and everything was as expected, though the omelette was a tad on the small side, probably not recommended for a big eater, although it was tasty. A side order of sourdough toast was a hefty portion. We were celebrating two birthdays and an anniversary so our server brought some tasty desserts to share. It was a very enjoyable experience and a gorgeous setting!

We eat here a couple times a month. Em is an INCREDIBLE server. We request her every time we can. Honestly there is a lot of tenure with the staff, and that’s not necessarily a good thing - a lot of complacently and mechanical service with a lot of your long timers. They’ve lost their passion for the customer. Not Em! Food tonight was outstanding - the sea bass is a great add and the wagyu NY strip was wonderful. The grilled corn…terrible presentation. It should have been cut off the cob - the chorizo all fell off. Limewood is a staple for us and we will be back.

This was such a fabulous spot! Highly recommend. I had brunch reservations for 11:30 am indoors. We were seated right away (even though we arrived a few minutes early). All staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu had a good variety and they took the time to provide my guest with alternative options due to her pregnancy. The food was delicious, had good portions, and was made with quality ingredients that did not affect my stomach in any way. That was such a bonus. Not to mention the ambience! Couples, families, and friends were all seated spaciously, and no matter where you sat you had an incredible view of San Francisco. It was such a wonderful brunch and a fabulous start to the spa day. 10/10 will go back!

It’s not a true Brunch experience you’d expect from a hotel with such a beautiful view, the only reason to pay $28 for bacon and eggs. The few “brunch” items were not appetizing and had little taste. But again, the view.

We went to Limewood because we heard a review on Check Please, touting the view and the Smash Burger. The burger was just OK, no obvious outstanding cut of meat. Fried chicken was delicious. Side dish of asparagus was in some indescribable, liquid sauce. Waiter failed to come ask us if we'd like a 2nd drink before our entrees were served. We sat outside so the view was fabulous. The restaurant was quite lively inside. I'd go there again, for the view!

We've been diining at Limewood for almost 20 years, and it has gone down hill! The last two visits were horrible with last night topping the chart horrible. The service was chaotic. Food came out in random orders. Missing food items were not taken off the bill. Price has gone up quite a bit but portion has shrunken. ' We're giving this restaurant a long, long, rest.

It started out they had a hard time finding our reservations. We were inside, what a mistake that was, very noisy. Service was bad, took staff along time before coming to our table. They seemed stressed. Service stayed bad throughout our brunch. Food was high priced and very small amounts.

Booked and came for our 29th anniversary dinner - we were excited. Service was a little so-so. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special unfortunately. Other than asking us if it was our anniversary there was very little conversation. Food service was well paced - oysters were great and very fresh. The tartine felt like it could have done with more of everything on the sourdough. Our main meals were nor particularly hot - the puree served with my lamb loin had dried from being under the heat lamp but we ate it anyway. Similarly the sea bass my wife had regarding temperature. Drinks were great - lovely cocktail and generous pours for the wine by glass. We'll likely be back but maybe with our expectations set a little lower.
