Lilac is a modern Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef and California native, John Fraser. Lilac exclusively offers a 4-course prix fixe menu featuring signature elements of Chef Fraser's mastery of Mediterranean cuisine explored through the lens of Floridian coastal produce. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, the dining room’s walnut flooring and the warm glow from the pendant globes create an elevated, convivial space focused around an eight-seat Christian Liaigre chef’s counter in sandblasted walnut and a lively open kitchen. Taking its cues from Fraser’s Greek heritage and his admiration of Turkish cuisine, Lilac’s balanced menu is a celebration of the chef’s vegetable-forward philosophy using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

A one of a kind culinary experience. Celebrating my wife and I 16 year anniversary here was truly wonderful. Thank you very much to Jeremy and all the staff who really made us feel so special.

Truly worth its Michelin star! A fabulous dining quality with *superb* food and service. The meal consists of a shared appetizer course plus three optional selections, one from additional appetizers, an entree and a dessert. The shared appetizer was delicious, particularly the milk bread with sweet onions and the mini croissants with pate. For the optional appetizer my wife had the scallops (delicious) and I had the pork belly and seared octopus, truly one of the tastiest dishes of a long life of dining at fine restaurants. Both of us had the duck as a main course, delicious and cooked to perfection, with the confit reaching new heights of flavor. For dessert we shared the perfectly cooked chocolate souffle, not too dry and not too moist, exploding sensation in layers. Service was attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere is very nice--although the restaurant is in an area next to the hotel bar, the separation was more than sufficient. We are already looking forward to a follow-up visit. Many times Michelin star restaurants are big on presentation but mixed on flavors--here everything was can't-be-beat perfect.

It was everything we expected it to be. My only peeve was I was facing a wall all evening.

From pulling up and having the valet not opening my door to the restaurant having one menu on the website and a different one at the table, first impressions were quite bad. Things were not improved by the substitution of a very heavy pasta dish with duck confit for the summer menu to replace the amazing tuna appetizer from the winter menu. Makes zero sense. When I disliked the saltiness of the Dover Sole, they clearly believed it was me, not them. I’m sorry, but Le Bernadin’s Dover Sole is pretty much the gold standard and I love it. Ditto with Il Gabbiano’s in Miami. I eat out extensively and well. Lilac was not my favorite dining experience, and I wish I’d paid the late cancellation charge instead of going. My dinner at Rocca on Sunday, in comparison, was perfect in every way.

Well the restaurant is relatively small and it is in a hotel lobby… Food was very nicely presentation but taste was very mediocre to say the least. Wine by the glass they poured very little amount of wine … o e would expect more from a Michelin rated restsurant. I had way better experience in restaurants that have no Michelin stars Very disappointed made me think is this Michelin???if that’s it I guess it is not reflecting anything about food taste quality and overall dining experience…definitely not going there again

Lilac offers an absolutely amazing dining experience. The staff is attentive at all times; the food is excellent and the wine pairings are spot on; each selection of wine was exquisite. The four course offerings are timed so that diners have the opportunity to savor each. We had the pork belly appetizer and the spiced rabbit in pappardelle which were both excellent. My hubby and I shared the red snapper and prawns for two. It was paired with spinach infused risotto and white asparagus with shaved fennel which were splendid accompaniments. The dessert of dark chocolate soufflé and vanilla gelato with orange marmalade was spectacular. Lilac’s Michelin star rating is well earned. We’ll be back again.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary and it was everything we expected. Impeccable service, beautiful setting, and the food / presentation was outstanding. Definitely recommended for a special occasion.
