We had booked ahead for our last night in Canada and as a couple were offered the corner inside table with great views as the sun set. We watched seals in the harbour and enjoyed really good food. Happily the service was also excellent from welcome to table service. This was originally our second choice on previous reviews but turned out to be just right.

Food Server - Natasha - was wxcelllent. Chef prepared a nice hors d’oeuvre for my wife and I for our anniversary. It was a. I’ve touch that was appreciated. Food was awesome. I had the halibut and left nothing behind.

I always love coming there when we’re in town… We brought guests with us that it never been there before… The service was very disappointing. We were going to the game and we told them and we were there and lots of time but just horrible service from our waitress and it wasn’t busy in the restaurant so it wasn’t like they were swamped… The best we had was by one of the staff just picking up at the tables and clearing the tables. He was lovely, but our waitress was very disappointing so it made the whole experience not as great as before.

If you’re tired of eating seafood, here’s a waterfront restaurant that provides plenty of other options. The pan roasted chicken was delicious. The truffle fries so plentiful there was no room to try the delicious looking desserts passing by our table. Service was prompt and friendly. View from the upper patio fantastic. Fun to watch the rowers and seals as we sipped our wine.

The food and view was amazing. We were there during happy hour. There were a few gluten free items .. would’ve been nice if there were a few more option or the opportunity to order from the regular menu.

View was amazing and service was great. But the food was not good. Calamari wasn’t very warm and the poutine had barely any cheese lol. Good value for drinks on happy hour though.

Served our 5 year old daughter an alcoholic drink. The server blamed the bartender and we still had to pay for her juice!

We had an amazing table for sunset outside - the setting was simply perfect. The views around the harbour from outside upstairs and wonderful. Our waiter Jools was attentive, friendly and fun - he did a great job. Our food was great (my hubby said he prefers his tuna more cooked). Overall it was one of our more pricey meals but we had chosen it to be special.

Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I have had at the Lift. Service was poor, kept having to ask for a menu, ask for cutlery, ask for drinks etc. instead of the server coming around and making sure we had everything we needed. I have been to the lift at least 20-30 times of the years on special occasions and when the weather is nice out and spent $1,000's of dollars and never have I been so disappointed. Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday?? I don't know, it has changed, and I don't think I will be visiting again anytime soon.

What a great Happy Hour spent at this wonderful waterside restaurant on their patio. Food was fresh and fast, and service was very responsive. We'll be back!

Visited the Lift based on a recommendation from a local - very happy that we took up the recommendation! From the moment we arrived we were so well treated. The reception and our server were exceptional. The harbour views are fantastic. Nothing seemed to be an issue! One of our party required power wheelchair access and everything was handled with great regard. Our meals were all well prepared and very well plated - strongly recommend the fish and chips! Will definitely visit the Lift again.

Really enjoyed the table with view. Brunch menu is nothing special but my husband said his crab cake was beyond his expectations. So I don’t mind recommending this spot for my friends.

Food great and view spectacular. Only complaint is that we felt they were rushing us out the door. The server was good but barely gave a chance to enjoy our bottle of wine. Cost, of course, was very high.

Have been going for several years to Lift. Yesterday I treated my best friend to brunch as it was her birthday. The drinks were great but the food took long. So when it did arrive it obviously was sitting too long in the kitchen. The eggs Benedict were not fresh and the muffins were imposible to cut with a knife. The option to return it crossed my mind but it was her birthday and I didn’t want to wait again for a refresh meal. Also they usually send a small birthday dessert in the past but they didn’t bring that either so paid the bill and left. They missed the mark so not sure if we’ll pick this spot again.

Great food. Went for dinner so it was too dark for a nice view of the water. Since it is waterfront dining, I would have liked the restaurant to have more lights around it so that we could have had a beautiful waterfront dinner view

The ambiance is spectacular. The presentation of their food could be much more creative… we had the calamari, and it was on par with presentation. I would receive at a local bar / pub. Same with the Caesar salad that was ordered with a 6 ounce steak on the side. Just a big bowl with a slab of meatballs. Our server was fantastic and very attentive and overall we enjoyed our experience. The food was tasty, although it was not on par with other Vancouver eateries.

Nice and quiet. Food was delicious! Best Mussels I’ve had. Service was slow, not sure why because the place wasn’t full. But the food was well worth the wait. And the server was very pleasant.
