We were excited to dine here as the reviews have been positive. We were discussing some wonderful news and in great spirits. I started off with a hot tea to ward off the chill from outside. Though soda for my boyfriend was unavailable, it only added to the charm of spontaneity as we explored alternative options. I had a tomato bisque soup as my appetizer, which tasted delightful. However, our patience was tested as the minutes stretched into over an hour-long wait for our entrees. The hamburger that my boyfriend ordered tasted sour and he said we should have just went to In-n-out for dinner, because it would have been better and faster. I had the pesto pasta, which was the most dissatisfying thing to eat. The pasta was extremely oily and lacked flavor. This extinguished the flames of excitement that fueled the evening. Despite our initial enthusiasm, this experience left us questioning the proclaimed award winning status of this restaurant.

Our server Jess was amazing. She explained the menu and even recommended her favorite drinks. My fiance and I would definitely come back for another visit.

My husband, daughter and I came to Lido Bottle Works for dinner on Sunday, March 3, the first day of the OC Restaurant Week. We all chose the Restaurant Week menu. Our waiter didn’t know much about it at the start, but he redeemed himself as he brought each of the courses of this 4-course menu. The food was outstanding! Each course was perfectly seasoned with very fresh ingredients and complementary tastes. My only complaint is that the amount of food for each course was scant. The price warranted a bit more food in each course. The one exception was dessert; that was an adequate portion. This was my first visit to this restaurant and I would visit it again.

One of our absolute favorite places to go! Always such professional service, and the food is terrific! The ambience on the patio leaves a bit to be desired, but overall it is still fabulous.

Food was OK but service was really lacking. Slow with taking order and then after asking for items to come out slowly, they didn’t and we had too many dishes on the table and couldn’t possibly eat fast enough to keep items from getting cold. No explanation of the cheeses on the charcuterie plate and rude hosted when we inquired where the restrooms were(which are not in the actual restaurant). Disappointing to say the least for a place that has a great location.

We normally have a great experience but one of their servers gave our order of the buttermilk biscuit to the next table, then they ran out and tried to say the other table ordered it before us even though they arrived way later than us.

The hostess and the evening Manager need to understand first come reservation first serve. Might need some more training on operations for managing guest per visits. Tried to force us outside knowing we didn’t want to be outside in the cold! Not accommodating but had to persuade that we want only to be inside. Brett finally saw it our way to be inside. Amanda was our Waitress, her Service was AMAZING. Rest of the night was good! Add more graham crackers to the dessert.

The food was fantastic, the potato croquettes were fantastic. The manager was very attentive and kind. Our server seemed new, she didn’t have much knowledge of the menu and what drinks would pair well with the food. But other than that we cannot wait to come back.

Usually these restaurants in the Lido Village have their act together since they cater to a more demanding crowd. Not today. The restaurant seemed about 3/4 full, not real busy for a Saturday brunch at 1pm. Food took a solid 45 minutes to come out. Something very wrong in the kitchen. We were joking that it seemed they had to go catch the Halibut prior to cooking. Speaking of the Halibut....very mediocre, no flavor or seasoning. Nice presentation. Bland and very very expensive. Sorry, love the Village but won't be visiting again.

Had another great experience at Lido bottle works! Great service, food etc. We were the last table there and they didn't make us feel rushed at all, they were so kind and let us loiter while they finished the closing activities which really kind so we could keep chatting. We will be back!

The happy hour apps were yummy. Great beer options and our entrees were delicious! Amanda was a wonderful server. All in all, a lovely experience.

We had reservations for my fiancé’s birthday dinner and to watch the Christmas boat parade at Lido Bottle Works. We were sat 15 minutes late because the party at our table had to be asked to leave for our reservation. I believe he was the manager who came over to offer his condolences for the delay and offered us the drink menu while we waited. We were not upset about the wait, but the recognition and gesture was thoughtful. We ordered the “Dawn Patrol”, which was touted to be similar to an espresso martini, but sadly tasted like a watered down cold brew. The charcuterie board was $29, and not worth it for the assortment - we also weren’t informed of what the meat and cheese selection was (on the menu) or when the waitress dropped it off. The photos you see online are pretty representative of what to expect for this item. The short rib bao buns had way too much togorashi egg filling, but otherwise the inspiration of the menu item was great. The restaurant was pretty busy with the boat parade crowds, and our waitress seemed overwhelmed and checked out. We were unfortunately ignored twice when trying to get her attention. The ambiance was by far the best feature of our visit sitting on the open air dock, and the initial service from the (presumed) manager. This area of Newport does get very busy with tourists throughout most of the year. If you’re interested in a quiet or intimate spot, maybe reconsider due to foot traffic and noise volume.

The best part is the location. Quiet restaurant but fun and social right in the mix of shops and restaurants. Service was nice and working hard. But the food is off. It’s ok but never really hits the spot.

We went on a busy weekend and unfortunately both apps and 1 main dish that we ordered had already run out when we ordered. They did give us a free dessert due to everything being unavailable, which was very nice. We had to select all new items and were not super impressed with the food - possibly because it wasn't our first pick. Over half the menu had run out by 8:45 PM on Friday. The location is great, but we will try some more restaurants in the area before returning.

Signpost- it was the Boat Parade. But between the hostess who sat us, and the manager who moved us to another table because of double booking, left us feeling disappointed. This is the third year we’ve done dinner here for the boat parade, and sadly the last. The manager made a snide comment about interrupting our phone use when he approached us. Mind you, we were trying to give our other guest directions to the restaurant because Malibu Farms had the walkway closed off for a private event. The food was good enough - but not as good as past visits. Our server was great, and did what she could to make our meal enjoyable.

Food is delicious, service is attentive and friendly, and even though the night we came there was a big party that overloaded the staff and made the ambience very noisy, the restaurant is very good.

Excellent spot. Food was really, really good. Got lively after 7:00 p.m. This is a great date or hot spot, but this time, we actually brought our two young daughters for an early dinner and worked out very well - they actually had a few kids items and not feel bad or out of place at all.
