Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

My husband and I ate at Liberty Kitchen twice during a week stay in Houston. That’s how good it was. Deviled Eggs with fried oyster is a must try.

This is our go-to brunch spot because the food is consistently delish and there are always multiple options on the menu to suit our families differing tastes (ie picky kids)!

Food as good, but not exceptional. Cocktails were prepared well and enjoyable. Service was attentive. The East coast oysters were very small.

Excellent service and fantastic food. Had not been here in a long time and it’s going back on my top 10 list. There was a mistake on my order, but they fixed it immediately. TheyI were very apologetic and kind enough to provide dessert.

Good food and service in a very pleasant atmosphere. My only complaint is thevsize of the meal portions!! one sallad is more than enough for two people. It may be that we are used to European and Far Eastern portion sizes!!This restaurant has become our "local"during our stays in Houston. We can highly recommend it to individuals, couples and more.

Always a great place to eat. Food is fantastic and the service is prompt and courteous. Derrick did a great job. I’m taking care of us. We’ve been many times before and we continue to go there for dinner or lunch. Highly recommended

We have eaten here on many occasions when in Houston and have never been disappointed with either the food or service. An added attraction is the ease of parking. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone wanting a good meal at a fair price.

Joyful celebration for my Mom's bday!!! Food is always excellent with delicious combinations. Their mussels are devine with the chorizo in the sauce; this comes on the combo appetizer. We get it everytime. Drinks were on point. The waitstaff were excellent and visited frequently. 2nd birthday celebration at this restaurant and it has not failed to rise to the occassion.

Must go for happy hour! Excellent prices for River Oaks and the HH menu has good variety for food and drinks. Our server took way too long to greet us and the drinks slightly long to come out. Other than that, great service. Beautiful restaurant. I would consider high-end casual dining. I'll be back!

The menu items all sound good, but the quality doesn’t necessarily match the price. Our waiter was good and attentive. Ambience could use some work for dinner time. Probably cuter for lunch. I’d give it a B rating.

The food was fresh and delicious they never disappoint. The oysters, deviled eggs and guacamole with lump crab and blackened shrimp were amazing. The server was great we enjoyed our time and we didn’t feel rushed. Thank you Ryan!

Our first time at Liberty Kitchen for brunch! We’ve been several times for dinner and always enjoy it, this was no different. I had the Soufflé Pancakes, so delicious and fluffy and sweet! My husband’s omelette was well cooked and he really enjoyed the oysters inside. The bacon on the appetizer breakfast board was great, but the sausage tasted a little off and like seafood, but wasn’t bad. Espresso Martini was great, wish the seasonal cocktails would have been available.

Frequent Liberty at least once every two weeks, both locations; usually very good. Decided to try brunch for Easter. To eat the eggs benedict crab cakes you need a blow torch to cut it and sharks teeth to eat it. Super dry, even with Hollandaise. Very poor quality. For years, usually great service every time; this time it was almost like the server didn't want to be there. Personality like a piece of lawn furniture. Will not go back for brunch.

Karen was our server and she was attentive and provided great service. We were celebrating my college roommate’s birthday. Although we ordered some chocolate churros, Karen brought us a beautiful slice of bread pudding with Happy Birthday written on the plate w/raspberry syrup. What an unexpected but appreciated dessert!! It’s little courtesies like this that mean so much and make you want to return to this establishment! Kudos to her and to Liberty Kitchen!!

Very nice spot. The food, ambiance and service were fantastic for a late Sunday lunch. Fresh oysters and salad and a solid Bloody Maria with Dos Hombres Mezcal. Would definitely come back.

We’ve always had wonderful service and food here, so much so that we’ve brought friends with us for Sunday brunch on a coupe of times recently. Today was no exception. Even though it was just the two of us, we were greeted warmly and the food and service was excellent!

Nice restaurant, have been wanting to try it for awhile. But……Service was slow. Very slow. Our server tried their best but bar was slow, kitchen slow. The couple next to us came in after we did but they walked out after waiting awhile. Tried to tell a manager about our concerns but….darned if we could find one. The food/drinks were not worth the frustration of the long wait.

We took 4 of our grandchildren to dinner and it was amazing. The food was fabulous, service was excellent and we were able to reminisce about when they were little and had no trouble hearing each other. We will definitely be back and will recommend Liberty Kitchen to all our friends.

We ordered a dozen oysters, delicious. Grilled costal board- came out in less than five minutes. Cold and parm oysters congealed. It was not made freash and must have been from an order someone else cancelled. We sent it back. Ordered steamed mussels instead. Cooked perfectly. For main course we had the redfish on the half shell. Loved it. The lobster roll, not so much. Menu says toasted brioche with drawn butter, so I’m thinking warm Connecticut style lobster roll. It was a cold mayo based Maine style lobster salad served with butter. Someone in the kitchen needs to get to the east coast. Staff was great! We miss Heights Liberty Kitchen, so have been going to River Oaks location. It’s not consistent, and unfortunately, we’re giving up.

Our group of four had a wonderful experience on a Friday afternoon at 4:30! Not loud, excellent service, and a perfect Happy Hour menu. Drink options fit our preferences as well as small bite options. We will definitely be back!

Went here on a whim and boy were we glad we did. Delicious food, outstanding smoked Old Fashioned, that's all I need for a good night out. The Texas Redfish with Lump Crab was to die for.

We brought some out of town guests here for Sunday Brunch/breakfast, and they stated that their meals were very good! A bonus was the suggested lobster bites as an appetizer, and the birthday girl enjoyed the presentation of, and her espresso martini!

Dinner with my two grands. Grandson wanted grilled oysters. We shared 1/2 dozen. They were hot and tasty. The kids both ordered cheeseburgers with fries and were pleased. I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and its presentation. The kids loved it. The espresso martini was ok…. The s’more milkshake and key lime pie were uninspired and lacking. Our server was very pleasant.

The food was good, but certainly not exceptional. The deviled eggs required LOTS of hot sauce to make them palatable. The breakfast potatoes were not very crisp, and the fried eggs did not have much flavor. The special - a red fish that had not been scaled - was otherwise well prepared, but I made the mistake of not asking the price before ordering it, assuming it would be in line with the remainder of the menu. It was $20 more than the next most expensive item on the menu. Due to an allergy, we could not order the usual deviled eggs with fried oysters (at $13), so they substituted a little crab meat and charged $24.

Food and waiter was great only complaint is if you are have a full wine list offered at least have the wines in stock, ordered four different wine s only to be told don’t have , the fifth choice I got lucky!

We met some friends here for Sunday Brunch after church, and everyone enjoyed their meal (Snapper special, 2 Shrimp & Grits, and 1 French Toast). Victor provided prompt and courteous service.

Must go on the weekend for all the spectacular specials that the chef executes. By far the best seafood restaurant in Houston. I always leave so satisfied and cannot wait to come back.
