Our experience was fine. Our server lovely, efficient, and attentive. It was mothers day and they had run out of several items. We will go back.

We eat here regularly and are always well satisfied in th quality of wild seafood and salads and especially like the availability of 9 oz wine glasses, servers for us have always been right on and if food on a busy night happens to be delayed the server is right there telling us of delay and when food will be out, this only happened once on a Mother’s Day weekend , and delay was only a matter of a couple minutes.

We have always enjoyed our experience at Legal Seafood. Hopefully it will continue to be a place to eat good seafood at a reasonable cost and get excellent customer service. Our server Eric was attentive and explained the new menu items.

The staff including everyone we dealt with from beginning to end were not friendly,professional or courteous. The food was bland, half of the mussels were not open, clam chowder tasted like it came out of a can. Waste of $170. The menu didn't have enough variety. All in all a waste of time and money,the staff needs to be trained on how to treat customers. The waiter never even asked how the food was,the person that brought out our appetizers and main course never said hi,enjoy your food or anything. I expected so much more from Legal Seafood. The person that took us to our table didn't say enjoy your meal or anything,terrible.

This is a nice restaurant with quality seafood. It's not what it used to be, but that seems to be in line with most restaurants post-COVID. They need to check the bathrooms more frequently to keep them clean.

We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Service was good. New england clam chiwder was excellent. Top of broocoli au gratin was slightly charred. Would most likely prefer to go to a smaller no chain restautant for seafood, but enjoyed our meal and time together.

Horrible dinner. The food was almost impossible to eat. Rhode Island Calamari was soggy and swimming in a pool of cold tomato sauce. White Clam Flatbread was another soggy mess swimming in cheese with no sign of any clams. Couldn’t eat it. We won’t be back.

The new express lunch is a great bargain! A small lobster roll with gf, cold slaw and a bowl of either lobster bisque or clam chowder for $25! Delicious and the lobster salad is more lobster than salad! Wish there was a location closer to ocean county nj!

We had a very nice meal at Legal Seafood. We lobster bisque and the crab cake as appetizers, which were excellent. The swordfish we had for our entrees was also very good, Service was very quick.

We had a birthday lunch at Legal Seafood at the Short Hills Mall. The food was delicious and our server, Nyasia was fantastic. She met all of our needs and more. A great way to spend a birthday lunch.

The food at Legal Seafood is always very good. I love their clam chowder, and their seafood is always very fresh. I try to stay away from chain restaurants, but not this one. I always have a great meal when I go and am always pleasantly surprised about how much I enjoy myself. I think the prices are a little steep for a chain, but the quality of the fish is worth it.

As always, we had a tremendous dining experience. The Lobster roll and the twin lobster tails were spectacular. My salt and vinegar cod was great too. The star for me was the ORGANIC PEI MUSSELS. The wine sauce was amazing.

Scallops were a bit cold. Appetizer was coming out with dinner. They took out dinner and only switched out sides waitress said. Coffee served ice cold, they had to make a fresh one. Key lime too tart and not really quality….very disappointed with meal for price : (

Arrived at 4:30 for a 5:00 reservation and were seated immediately. Then we sat and waited for 20 minutes while we were completely ignored. Eventually we asked a passing waitress if we had a server, and she said she would take our order, although she was not our server. We ordered. Eventually the person who apparently was our server came with our drinks, put it down with a perfunctory apology and took off again. Our appetizers came and were good, the clam chowder and some oysters and shrimp cocktail. After we finished, nobody came to clear the dishes, and the server plopped down our entrees. I had the seared tuna over jasmine rice with soy sesame broccoli. Also there was a glob of apricot (?) mash on top of the tuna that wasn’t mentioned in the description. The tuna was fresh, the broccoli was rubbery. My wife had a spicy salmon sushi which was good, but it came with seaweed salad that was inedible. The waitress eventually came back and took the dish with the empty oyster shells, but never took away the empty coup or the plate where I had placed the rails From the shrimp.when we asked the waitress what the fruit was on the tuna dish, she didn’t know. Overall, a really disappointing experience at what used to be a staple for us. We’ll pass on Legal next time we have to run errands at the Short Hills Mall.

Food presentation was excellent and flavors were excellent. The repetitive electronic soundtrack (I hesitate to call it music) is a distraction and impediment to enjoying a relaxing meal.

Fried clams were overcooked with very small bellies. Disappointing. Lobster roll - decent but the roll is too big relative to the amount of lobster. It would be tastier on a shorter roll. Bar staff are always pleasant and give good service.

The blackbery burlesque was the highlight of my lunch date! It is delicious! The crab cakes were delicious as usual, but my friend got the fish sandwich and I will have to try it next time as it looked so fresh and crispy! Our waitress was very pleasant and made sure that we were taken care of.
