Le plat signature du Legal Sea Foods est le poisson vraiment frais. Situé sur la Route 9, dans le centre commercial Chestnut Hill, ce restaurant est l'un des premiers de la chaîne mais reste une attraction populaire parmi les gourmets. Des produits frais sont proposés au bar, dans la salle à manger ouverte, au comptoir de mets à emporter et au marché aux poissons. Le Legal Sea Foods a depuis longtemps prouvé qu'une expérience culinaire de haute qualité ne passe jamais de mode. Avec plus de 40 variétés de poissons frais et de crustacés servis tout au long de l'année accompagnés d'une carte de vins primée, il n'est pas étonnant que des légions d'amateurs aient mordu à l'hameçon ! L'établissement a reçu de nombreuses récompenses, notamment celles de « Meilleur Restaurant de Fruits de Mer » (USA Today, 2013), « Restaurant le Plus Populaire de Boston » (Zagat, 2012/2013), « Meilleur Restaurant de Fruits de Mer » (Improper Bostonian, 2010) et « Meilleure Chaudrée » (Boston Magazine, 2010). Le restaurant a aussi l'honneur de présenter sa légendaire Chaudrée de palourdes de Nouvelle-Angleterre à chaque inauguration présidentielle depuis 1981.

    We were accommodated at the last minute to increase our party from 4 to 6. That alone made this a wonderful experience, given this was the busiest time for the restaurant. Our food arrived promptly and was very tasty. The wait staff were very attentive. We were pleased, but not surprised, as we have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years. It truly is a Boston institution!

    I have a tough time with this because we go here a lot and last nights debacle was not how it usually is. The food here is almost always very good and if not a fantastic value it’s always been steady. Last night my wife ordered twin fillets and lobster tail. I had a steamed lobster. Her medium rare steak was incinerated and lobster was rubber. Mine was way overcooked also. Round two the very cool server was shocked and walked it back for a redo. Second round was the same!! Bad night in the kitchen. We didn’t want to wait anymore so that was it. They comped on of the meals (hers) and a glass of wine and dessert. We will go again because of our history but this was strike one.

    I have been going to this location for decades. I feel like the level of service from the wait staff has declined. I'm not sure if there are challenges with the new location but there is a difference. The stuffed lobster tails were delicious.

    Both the Maine and the PEI oysters were amazingly fresh and tasty. Crab cake is outstanding with heavy meat and minimal fillers. The swordfish was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and fresh as it gets. The place is as consistent as it gets.

    We wanted a place where we could spend time and eat with the family to celebrate my son's graduation from college. We flew all the way from Utah (for the graduation) and someone suggested Legal Sea Foods. Well... Couple of complaints: 1. Noise - so noisy you couldn't hear anyone talk: also it is not elderly friendly who tend to have hard of hearing - I would suggest offering private rooms or someplace more quiet. 2. The food was okay considering the price - I thought it would be better, Sorry I can find seafood here in Utah that taste better 3. Where we sat, the my chair was literally next to another table behind that the waiter couldn't help them or our end due to no space - I felt sorry him. 4. The room was so hot, all of us were sweating, and some of us lost our appetite and to make it worse - getting water refill was difficult. our waiter obviously overwhelmed but still, we needed water - maybe leaving a pitcher would been helpful

    I ordered the fried clam. They were soggy and all clumped together. My granddaughter ordered the grilled salmon. It was not edible. The restaurant was wall to wall with diners. We waited over 45 minutes to get our food. We made a decision not to send our two dinners back because we did not want to wait another 35 + minutes for our food. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
