Probably a function of Mother's Day but the worst service and food I have ever encountered with Legal Seafoods. Reminded me of why I don't go out on Valentine's Day because it felt like a pump and dump experience where the restaurant was trying to do too much in one day that resulted in garbage service and poorly prepared meals. At over $100/person, I expect a lot more!

We had a reservation for Mother’s Day. We arrived to the restaurant 10 minutes before the reservation. The restaurant was over booked and completely crowded. We waited for 30 minutes to get a table and an hour to get cold food. It was not a good experience.

Great food, great service. No louder than any other restaurant on Mother’s Day. Our waitress was FANTASTIC.

I ordered my filet mignon medium. When I received it the filet was well done. I should have complained, but I didn’t. When my waiter noticed I hadn’t eaten the filet, he asked why. I told him it was well done. He had the manager come over and she wanted to get me another meal, but my family was done with their meals. She comped my meal. She also offered to give me a free dessert, which I declined. The waiter and manager couldn’t have been nicer.

everything (including the parking) feels a bit "tightly packed" in the burlington mall environment. the staff seems stretched thin (as is common these days) and made a few slip-ups with service, but they were mostly corrected and we were treated politely. food is very good. everything is fresh. portions are generous. ingredients seem to be of best quality. i would go here just for bread and chowder alone. i get the feeling there are no "filler" items on the menu - everything is served as though it were a featured item so you can order with confidence. even salads were done excellently.

The last two time we were there was fantastic. But this time, the food was bland: burger was bland, fried chicken was dry, and the fried fish sandwich was mediocre. Fries were terrible. Although they were hot, they were bland. Almost like frozen fries from the grocery store. Service was great but when the food is not enjoyable, overall experience is disappointing.

Very overpriced and food was mediocre at best. I got a tuna poke bowl which was mostly rice, very dry and not tasty. 5 ultra thin pieces of tuna...ridiculous. Others I was with got fried clam strips. They were super chewy and almost seemed like the scraps of a batch. Haddock was dry. Great service and pretty restaurant but Never going again.

Tonight’s experience at legals was by far the worst food and service. The lobster roll was microwaved and the bartender was our server (I assume understaffed with no help) and he had most of the dinning room to cover. Legals has disappointed us.

Lobster roll was delicious, but it needed more lobster meat. The fisherman's platter was over fried. I normally have nothing negative to say ,,,but was a bit disappointed.

Manager was attentive. Service was excellent - Kudos to Kimberley. Dietary restrictions were addressed and food preparation accommodated those needs. Kudos to Kimberly.

Another great Legal meal! Never a bad experience and Karina V made sure our leisurely Sunday lunch was great. 42 years of Legal meals and we always look forward to the next one!

Enjoyed a very long, extended lunch with a friend. The food and service were great, and they did not rush us at all. Of course, we weren't totally inconsiderate (we arrived at 1:15 after at the lunch rush), but we stayed for a couple of hours and no one rushed us at all.

I went to this resturant in Chestnut Hill for lunch on April 9th and it was so fantastic. I went back to the Burlington one - since it is closet to me. Order the same items and they were not edible. Fried clams were old and dried out, french fries with the clams were also not the same. The same items in Chestnut hill was so fantastic even the large long french fries Sent the meal back in Burlington last night. 6 people order the wedge salad on the 9th they looked amazing so I ordered one last night also aweful. Not a fan of the salmon on it also looked old and dried out. Even the clam chowder which we have had in the past in Burlington which is usually amazing was aweful last night. Tasted like old dried tough clams and a water like consistentsy. Couldn't get the manager or the check I just wanted to pay and leave. Worst dinner out ever and not a birthday celebration. The Manager comped our complete bill. My friends salmon dinner was perfect and he ate every bite. But I guess they made it right by a complete comp. But not sure I would go back their again- and definitely not on a Sunday night.

As always, we had a nice meal. Glad to see the resturant full on a Saturday evening. Food was first rate and our server was super, too. We'll definitely be back.

I am a long time fan of Legals all the way back to their beginnings in Inman Square, Cambridge. BUT recently the proportion of fish to fries or other fillers has taken a bad turn. Scallops, my favorite and delicious, appeared on a small container (5) on a huge bed of French fries for $38! My son had fish and chips and the small amount of actual fish was hid under excessive breading and over a mass of fries. I am a legalrewards member but this change under new ownership is a move in the wrong direction for my beloved Legals.

Clam chowder tasted good with plenty of clams. Unfortunately, I became ill later that night and can only attribute it to the clams. Food took an awful long time to come. Patrons who came in after us received their orders well before us. Additionally the fish tacos were cold when they arrived. The bartender did take them off the bill however.

Terrific express meal- the lobster roll express meal is amazing!! Truly appreciate that kids eat free for school vacation- as a retired grandparent that makes a huge difference in being able to treat kids off from school! Please don’t change that!

We have not been at Legal’s for awhile for no particular reason but were very glad we came back. The cioppino was amazing. Salads were great. The Legal’s special Sam Adam’s beer was worth getting. The wine choices are excellent. We are going to be back soon

Our server, Sudan, was so nice! He never rushed us and made us feel very comfortable! The fish sandwich wasn’t that good. It tasted old, which surprised me as it is a seafood restaurant!

I love Legal Seafood. I love the service and food I get in Lynnfield and Boston. I was so disappointed at this location although I have been here before. The lobster bisque was so watery. It didn’t even look like lobster bisque. Absolutely no lobster in it. My clam chowder had so much sand in it. We ordered salads with fish on it. They put extra dressing in mine. Was suppose to go to other person. Mine was suppose to be on side. I had to send back as the lettuce were swimming. When I got new salad there was nothing in it. Salmon had absolutely no flavor. Friend got lobster. Wasn’t impressed. Expensive lunch and quite disgusting. I will not visit this Legals again.

I tried something different - nothing exciting, but different for me - and ordered the house salad with grilled shrimp. My husband had the fish sandwich. We enjoyed our meals, as always. Also, our server (Carol) was excellent, as she always is.
