A friend and I had a fun celebratory dinner on a bustling Friday evening. The Rhode Island style Calamari appetizer was a little heavy on the breading, and light on acidity, which is usually the draw for this dish. Overall it was good, just a little underwhelming. The Salt and Vinegar Cod was very good. The fish was cooked perfectly and the remoulade along with the potato wedges rounded out a very nice dish.

I have eaten at legal seafoods many times and have enjoyed the experience. However, this time was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in awhile. Our server took 22 minutes to come and greet us at the table to take a order. Then another 10 minutes to get drinks. So were seated 30 minutes before we had drinks. My companion ordered the salmon with beurre blanc sauce. It did not come with any sauce. They did not explain why this was the case so we called her back to ask. They said they were out of sauce. When I said this should have been disclosed before serving the meal that we paid for, she just said sorry but did not suggest any solutions. For dessert we ordered the Keylime pie with raspberries. They were apparently out of raspberries, so just decided to put strawberries on it instead. Not really a big deal, but this is just careless especially if we had had an allergy to strawberries or just wanted raspberries. Ordered sparkling water with lime. The server brought over the sparkling water and then went to the bar and got a bunch of limes that she wrapped up in a napkin and put the napkin on our table. This was a bit gross. The server never checked in to see how we were enjoying the meal. We are not whiny, wealthy people who feel entitled to the fastest service and most amazing experiences. Rather, we just appreciate a level of professionalism and feeling we are welcome when we dine out. We did not feel that at all legal seafoods in Somerville. All of these relatively minor things added up to a really poor experience and presented the restaurant as if it does not care about its guests’ experience. Our server ended up comping our drinks which we appreciated, but I much rather would have paid for them to have a nice night out.

We were seated right on time for our reservation, but that was the only thing that went right. It took more than 30 minutes before our drinks were served, and we had to leave without eating after an hour in order to make our movie reservations on time. It wasn't even exceptionally busy, so to not even have our food served after 60 minutes was absurd. Will never go to this location again.

The reason I go to Legals is for the crabcakes, delicious hot bread, mussels, red sangria, and clam chowder. The food is delicious. The service is generally good. And the location is pleasant.

Calimari was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal. But very loud, you have to talk loud to be heard. Other than that, nice place.

Service was great but food quality has continued to go down. Rolls were tough and not warm. Fish was over fried and dry. Certainly did not have the “legal” quality I’m used to as a frequent diner.

Debbie was the best server I've ever experienced. She made the already amazing food that much better. I will definitely be back and requesting to be in Debbie's section. Highly recommend the crab cake, the clam chowder, and the surf and turf. Ending the meal with the Boston cream cake or the chocolate pudding are the perfect end notes.

Delicious food - the hardest part was deciding what to order among all the choices on the menu. We had a booth close to the kitchen which was cozy and comfy. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a great evening.

We really enjoyed our lunch. We ordered the signature crab cake that came with rice and salad plus the nori-crusted yellow fin tuna. Compared to other Legal outlets I have visited, I liked the setting…lots of windows, very open and airy. I plan on visiting again. The Assembly Square area in Somerville is pedestrian friendly, great shopping, a variety of food options and free parking.

Prices have skyrocketed and portion sizes have dropped. Quality is just about tolerable. As a rewards member I can only redeem one offer at a time even though I have more than enough points to redeem. Feels like clickbait. All in all having been a frequent customer for the last 25 years I have to now think if I really want to return. There are better seafood options available.

Free parking available. We had a reservation and were seated in a timely fashion by a charming hostess. Our waiter Peter was charming, attentive, and knowledgeable. From appetizer to dessert, the meal, accompanied by pinot gris, was delicious.

I had the best meal I ever had at Legal tonight. The Nori crusted yellow fin Tuna was the most satisfying and tasty meal I have had at legal. I absolutely loved this dish!!! it was on the LTK portion of the menu, and made me miss the creative dishes when LTK was in business as a seperate restaurant in South Boston. the salmon wad expectantly good as she enjoys, and frequents this dish. We had the Rhode Island style calamari app. Was decent. would prefer marinara on the side rather than a bed of marinara under the calamari. marinara was a bit watery, possible due to the mixing of vinegar with the hot peppers. The Bosron Vream cake was outstanding as well. You must try this

Walked in, the hostess was very friendly and told us she had been at this location from the beginning. I asked about one of our favorite bartenders who has moved on since the pandemic. Our waitress was excellent. Food was a little expensive, but we were able to enjoy the specials, and the food was delicious.

The best part of Legal Seafoods - It's always a consistent meal! The weekend was special given it was a 'SouperBowl' and chowder was $2. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Great use of a OpenTable reward.

Overall very good with the exception of being seated opposite the kitchen area. It’s a bit uncomfortable when someone is leaning up against the counter in ear shot of your conversation.

Huge lobster roll with lots of fresh lobster, You can order it warm or cold. Filling dish, esp with fries and delicious cole slaw. We sat in a quiet corner that was comfortable. We'll be back.

I have never been disappointed at Legal’s. The seafood is always fresh and prepared to perfection. Our waitress was super friendly and personable. I highly recommend this restaurant for families outings or date nights.

First time at Legal C in Somerville. Same excellent quality food asI have enjoyed at other Legal restaurants. Nice location with nice interior. Very good wait staff!
