we were in the Westbank and looking for a place to try and noticed legacy kitchens steak and chop so decided to check it out. we started off with the spinach dip - the dip was good but the chips were amazing! some of the best chips that we’ve tried in the city. we then got a cheeseburger, seafood platter and mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. the mashed potatoes were decent, the teriyaki sauce on the sprouts was really good, the burger was cooked well and had good flavor, and the seafood had big seafood and plenty of it. overall good flavor and good portion size ambiance of the restaurant was nice and service was good. overall a good experience

Legacy Kitchen is usually our go to for celebrations. This time our service was slow. We had to ask for refills. Our food was cold. We were seated so close to the next table that we had to move the table. It was all around a bad experience.

I never write reviews unless positive, but I felt I had to share. My husband and I ate here yesterday for Valentine's Day dinner. We reserved an advance as I figured it would be busy and hard to get a reservation, to my surprise, the dining room was not full the entire time. Our server was not very friendly, and only spoke to us a few times. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. When it came time to order our entrées, I asked if there were any specials going on for the evening. Our server said there were not, then later on said there were. She brought us a set priced menu for Valentine's Day, which included appetizers and entrée and a bottle of wine. However, at this point, we already ordered our drinks and had our appetizer, so there was no point in ordering it, which I definitely would've ordered it if I knew about it ahead of time. It took 45 minutes to get our entrée, I ordered the pasta Acadiana and my husband ordered the fillet. We were told that it was accidentally brought to another table and that they were making us new ones. When the food came out, the pasta was lukewarm and my husband's fillet which he ordered medium rare was well done. It was also extremely thin for a fillet, I questioned that it actually was a fillet. I'll let the server know that it was definitely overcooked, she just stared and said "oh." My husband said he'll just eat it, at this point we were just ready to go. It was very sad because this was a special night for us, and the experience was anything but. Hopefully, we will get some kind of resolution, as we love to eat out, and we rarely have poor experiences.

Exceptional service and attentive staff set the tone at this establishment. The ambience, complemented by TVs broadcasting games, adds a lively touch. Appetizers steal the spotlight, particularly the delectable chicken wings and shrimp dish. However, the double cut pork chop lacked flavor despite the presence of herb butter, and my wife's fish was unfortunately overcooked with a lack of distinctive taste. While we appreciate the location and convenience, there's room for improvement in elevating the excitement in the entrees.

Server was trying her best- think they were short handed! (Lunch on Saturday) She did the best she could providing they must’ve been short handed. Bar drinks took a while. The truffle fries were super greasy then the truffle on top was just not good. Spinach and artichoke dip tasted like it had been sitting in a pan a few days and had cheese melted over it. The redfish was okay Pasta- shrimp was overcooked. Hamburger was good Trout was okay at best

We had reservations and when we arrived it took several minutes to be greeted even though someone was at the host stand and no one was in front of us. They seemed very disorganized and frazzled. Our server had no knowledge of the menu items and could not answer our basic questions about the menu. She also seemed a bit frazzled. The food was decent. Nothing spectacular but not bad by any means. We did send back the back and cheese because it was very bland. Overall just a fine visit.

Unfortunately the table we were sat at the lights had burnt out so we had to use our cellphones. We were told not other tables available when they never sat most of them. The server did her best and we were pleased with that. Food was rushed sad..

Chicken (roasted chicken breast and thigh) was VERY undercooked and when the server showed the plate to the manager we heard them remark “another one”. We were not given any discount for the incident and the replacement meal was charged to our bill, despite that persons meal not arriving until the rest of our party was finished eating.

It is nice to go out for dinner occasionally but wherever we go the food is average at best. Very expensive for average food. Wed. steak nite is good but the steak was over cooked, potato needed more filling because it was very dry after getting thru the initial layer of "loaded" addings. I would recommend to friends but reluctantly. Basically, it is the closest steak house on this side of the river, and I do not like to go into the NOLA for dinner.

Took my dad out for his birthday. The service wasn’t the best. It wasn’t busy, not a lot of customers, however the wait for our beverages, the wait for the waiter, the wait for the waiter who never came back because she was tending to the bar. Never again this restaurant was on my list to try. Maybe I picked the wrong day. Horrible service and cold food

Legacy kitchen is one of my favorites on the westbank. I’ve been there several times and the food and ambiance has always been great. The service was a little slow that particular day, but that was unusual. The cocktails are amazing, priced just right! A must dine!

The overall experience was very good. The food could have been a bit tastier but overall tasted okay. Despite the under seasoning, it won’t keep us from returning again. We’ll dine here again.

Our server was not good. Never came by to bring us sweetener, napkins, steak knives...anything. Never checked on us except when we were almost done eating. The steak was tasteless and jumbo shrimp for $12, were 5 small shrimp. Nothing special from food to service. Very disappointing. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Early meal on New Year’s Eve- food was delicious. Service was excellent. Food served appropriate temperature- salad was chilled & steaks were hot & cooked as requested. Only negative was the price was a little high- 6 small charbroiled oysters were $26- glad I didn’t order a dozen. Should have asked the market price. Overall very pleased with meal and will return.

Our server and service was great. I forget about this place as its not advertised much. The food was very good and we enjoyed our time. I noticed a number of specials on the wall during the week and definitely want to come and try their happy hour drinks and bar items!
