I like that you pay the same for any 3 course combination. It made budgeting easier. We were seated alone in a back room so it was very quiet for us with the exception of the light jazz music playing in the background. The service was superb. Our water glasses never emptied. The food was really good, too. My Le Rivage cocktail was delicious. I highly recommend!

We sat outside which I did not expect to be next to the road. The noise was loud and eating with diesel fumes is not my idea of a good time. The service and food was just okay nothing to brag about.

Amazing food and everyone is very nice. We will definitely go back. Only hiccup was that the place was so popular it took a while to be seated for our reservation.

Service is very slow and had to ask multiple times for some things including the wine and bread. Then the meat was over cooked. Paid extra for the steak and that was basically medium well, not medium rare. And the burgers were the same. Very tasty burgers but still over cooked.

Wonderful visit & delicious, true-to-French cuisine. Very welcoming hostess & servers. Great respite from a day in the elements & lots of walking. Cozy & warm. Definitely coming back merci!

I have loved Rivage for years. My coq au vin was not as good as usual and of course prices are now higher. Service was good.

The service at Le Rivage was excellent, and the food was good. Just the escargots were quite a bit too garlicky to be considered good, but everything else was satisfactory. Perhaps you can see from my adjectives that although we enjoyed most of our meals, we were, in the end, disappointed. The food was just a bit thin, not as creamy, or rich, or tasty as we would have liked. Which was a pity, since we were looking forward to it.

We come here for our anniversary and very year. Always great food and service. My husband was using a crutch and they were very solicitous. The filet and the duck we ordered were upcharges but worth it. Great for special occasions

Our experience at Le Rivage was "meh." This experience has put me off of any Restaurant Row places for good. The other "meh" experience was Lattanzi. These places operate like assembly lines. Rivage was decent. But $70 pre fixe as only option, without wine, seems like a crappy value. With tip, I was out the door for almost $200 without wine. It felt like a $50 per person dinner at best. The food is just ordinary.

Went for lunch before seeing a show. We sat in the main dining room. The ambiance was so great. The food was amazing and our server was so friendly and helpful. It was also my birthday and they brought my dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday. We will definitely be back. I always worry trying a new place and Le Rivage did not disappoint.

Amazing coffee! The service was great they were receptive and attentive and mindful of our ability to make our show. They allowed us to come back for dessert after our show. The food was not over the top fancy but what felt like authentic French everyday meals. There was a nice ambiance to the entire experience. Will definitely be back.

Our experience was top notch. The ambiance is lovely, the food delicious and the service was impeccable. Our server, Diego, showed the perfect amount of attentiveness, as did the rest of the staff. With every penny.

Excellent service. French onion soup and escargot was fantastic, very bland short ribs, lamb shank was very good and the seafood crepe was delicious. For desserts, mediocre crème brûlée and very dry cheesecake only had one bite of.

Overall, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, only bathrooms were down steep flight of stairs, so that was difficult for my husband. Another patron had to leave to go to the bathroom at a neighboring restaurant. They should make that clear on the website and on open table.

1st things 1st, anonymous reviews are cowardly, that being said: how can we doing a bait and switch when we’ve been serving the same prix fix for over 4 decades?!!!! Thirdly, when you made a reservation it clearly says that it’s a prix fix and nowhere were you charged to make a reservation, it says that you will be charged $25 if you don’t show up. We only have one seating pretheater so the prix fix is intended for full meals not people nursing a salad for two hours. We are not in the business of trying to cheat people we are a NY institution with close to a century of hospitality service. But again your anonymous review speaks for itself, the fact that I’m responding speaks to my hour travel without anything better to do. As we say in French: go jump in a lake!!!

Went for pre-dinner 3 course prix fixe dinner. I had trout which was very good, but my husband did not love his steak frites. The chocolate mousse seemed more like pudding. My endive salad was very good. The waiter was very attentive and professional. The food came out very quickly and we were done in a little over an hour and 10 minutes. Normally we like to linger longer, but we were glad that they were attentive to our theater schedule. We sat in the back where there are fewer tables and it is a bit less noisy but the main room seems like it would be more noisy.
