The tasting menu is $135/person+20% gratuity, shared amongst the entire team. The cost is fully refundable if changed or cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the reservation. We do not offer an a la carte menu. (Gift certificates cannot be used during the booking process. Please bring them to the reservation and we will apply them and make necessary refunds at that time). Please indicate all dietary restrictions at this time. Our menus cannot be modified to be dairy free, allium free or vegan. Flawless execution from every angle, with conceptually creative, visually appealing, and, most importantly, delicious food, attentive & knowledgeable waiting staff, and a cozy, non-pretentious atmosphere. We covered all the bases between the two possible menus, the optional items, and both levels of wine pairings. I had the non-vegetarian menu & each course had very well balanced, familiar & satisfying flavors & textures, often in unusual yet surprisingly well complementing combinations, like pig’s foot with escargot or seared foie gras with rabbit spam. It was obvious that a lot of research went into the wines in both pairings, which were all wonderful & perfectly matched to food, and included some really interesting positions like a sweet vouvray or a buttery veltliner. Hat off to the Chef for pulling off such an exquisite experience without any weird foams or overly ambitious challenges for the taste buds. If & when Michelin starts covering Portland, Le Pigeon will undoubtedly make its starred list!

The food exceeded all expectations. Each bite and each dish that followed were in perfect unison. Highly recommend.

The radio or whatever was too high. Food and service were fine. Wine was outstanding! Will return for special occasions. Nice to see a Paley protege's work. All hail, Vito. Gabriel's amazing.

From the time we sat down to our last course everything was spot on. Chefs interacted with us and answered all of our questions. I love that they offer an omnivore and vegetarian course. My girlfriend did the regular menu and I did the vegetarian. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re ever in the Portland area.

There were some highlights ( the olive oils poached Alaska halibut) and some lowlight ( foie gras ice cream). The biggest issue was the pacing of the kitchen and the attention from the staff. We had a 7:45 seating on a Saturday night so if was busy but in no way slammed. There were open seats at the counter. But between every dish we had to wait 15 minutes. We ordered cocktails and a bottle of wine, long after we had finished our cocktails there was no wine in sight. We were already into our second course when somebody asked if we wanted another cocktails. This lack of attention to detail persisted throughout the night. The service staff were all nice people but the lack if formality was an issue when you are paying for a price fix meal, it really hurt the overall experience.

One of our worst dining experiences ever. There is a music club above the restaurant and they had an electronic dance music (EDM) band playing the night we dined here. The music from the concert was so loud that it was hard to concentrate. At times, we couldn't figure out what song the restaurant was playing because the EDM was so loud. To make matters worse, the restaurant was blasting Whitney Houston which mixed with EDM was just awful. We felt bad for the restaurant and asked the staff what was going on thinking it was a one off and they said it actually happens all the time. At one point the door started banging in its frame from the vibrations. This meal was a few hundred dollars we were required to pay in advance plus $100 onsite for drinks and tasting meal supplements. Total bites = 12. I'm not exaggerating. The portions were so small. It was such a waste. We almost left early and ate the cost.

Such a hidden gem! We have been all over the world and have had the pleasure of dining in many Michelin star restaurants, and this ranks among the best. If you are looking for an out of the box place with over the top flavors, please go here.
