Le Jardinier is an approachable yet refined vegetable-driven restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli. Rooted in classic French technique, Verzeroli has created a menu where plants play a prominent role: local, seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, and greens are complemented by fish, meat and poultry. The wine list features over 350 references, and has an international focus drawing heavily on the French regions of Champagne, Burgundy, and Bordeaux. Cocktails utilize high quality craft spirits, fortified wines, fresh herbs, and house made tinctures and bitters.

We had a beautiful lunch at Le Jardinier while visiting friends in NYC. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. The food and service was fantastic.

We were running a few minutes late due to a family emergency & scheduled to get there when the kitchen closed but they graciously agreed to seat us since it was our anniversary. Once we got there, everything was perfect…the soothing, zen decor of fresh green plants everywhere, exceptionally warm service and the piece de resistance was of course the food. Each dish was more beautiful & delicious than the last - the balance of each ingredient just perfect…and the desserts were just the sweet ending to the meal we needed. Thanks to all the staff who made our special day extra special!!

The best part about this place is the decor & feel of it like you’re in a garden. The food was tasty and service was decent. Just not sure if it’s really a Michelin level restaurant. We’ve been to many and this place really not on the same level. Again, it was decent but expected more since it has a Michelin rating.

We went to Le Jardinier to celebrate my husband's Birthday. First of all, I had mentionned it in the comments section when I made our reservation and all the staff greeted him a happy birthday as soon as we arrived, which was not the case in other places I had booked in the past - even in expensive restaurants. The ambience was quiet, with some nice French music in the background, which easily allowed conversation. The food was amazing. The taste was very refined with classic recipes revisited with some modern twist to it and an elegant modern presentation when plated. The cuisine offered a very good balance between tradition and modern cuisine. My husband and I both loved our cocktails, starters and entrees. I had the heirloom carrots potage veloute and the Montauk bass in pine crust and my husband had the scallops in carrot and blood orange reduction and the duck confit. I was a little disappointed with my desert (I had the valhrona dark chocolate cremeux with caramel sabayon), but mostly because it did not correspond to what I expected. However, my husband really loved the one he chose (the warm apple tart)

Cannot believe this place is Michelin-rated. It took 25 minutes to get water. Tee service was so slow we skipped our last course and left. Never again.

We had a very pleasant time at Le Jardinier. The reason we went there was the presence of pastry chef Salvatore Martone. The menu offered many tempting dishes, as well as accompanying wines. We were particularly seduced by the plant-based ice creams with their succulent flavors.

The waiter doesn’t let us know that they charge hot water $3 per small glass. The food was okay but not outstanding at all. The beef was not impressive at all. It was pretty noisy.

The service was exceptional. The staff was not only professional but it really felt like we were talking to old friends. The cocktails and food were reasonably priced. The wine list was very expensive. The food was good but at times I felt myself enjoying the sauce more than the actual dish itself. Overall a great place and I would definitely eat here again!

It was a perfect place for my birthday lunch. The Restaurant Week special had a great two course menu which my friend and I enjoyed. Our waitress was wonderful and the ambiance was conducive to a long leisurely conversation. The room was so attractive with green plants that I forgot the dreary, cold weather outside . This restaurant is a gem!

I love this restaurant. The food is excellent and very vegetable and green forward. I had the best Risotto of my life with kale mushrooms and Black Truffles. Amazing !!!

Overall very good experience. The server just too busy and forgot to give us breads (or upon requested?) The bread basket came when we were almost done the entree, but it's delicious!

The family had an amazing experience. Very lovely food and excellent service. They ran out of Expressions tasting menu, but made up for it with complimentary dishes and desserts. Very classy. Ended up enjoying more appetizers, entrees, desserts prepared, baked, and cooked to perfection. Much thanks to the chef and hospitable staff!

For a restaurant with a Michelin star, I would expect the service to be better; it was fine overall, but just nothing stellar? I enjoyed the decor. The food was excellent, in particular the olive swirl/sauce that decorated the salmon dish; it's what made it different. I could have passed on the plant based ice cream (which I ate as an affogato). The most memorable part was the friend I dined with!

We chose this restaurant because we wanted a Michelin starred restaurant that vegetarians would enjoy. The first course and entrees were all very good though nothing was really special. We enjoyed the burrata and persimmon first course, and the sole. Our daughter liked the beets and the risotto. The dessert was really disappointing. The service was awful. The waitress hardly paid any attention to us at all. In short, the food was good but not equal to other restaurants of this caliber. We are unlikely to go back.
