Le Hatch
The hatch is a restaurant operating within Dover Christ Church Academy. It will be opening on the first Thursday of the month offering à la carte food at a competitive price. It is managed by professional chef and teacher Mr Carswell, who has over 25 years’ experience within the hospitality industry. Dover Christ Church runs a chef’s academy where students can study up to a Level 2 BTEC Extended Diploma in Professional Cookery. .
The menu will change on a month basis and should suit all needs, there will be a 3 course option for £12, or starters and puddings starting at £3.00 each, main courses are from £7. As you will see from our menu we offer a wide selection of freshly cooked dishes at an attractive price owing to reduced overheads.
We offer soft and hot drinks from only £1, but if you fancy some a little stronger after a busy day, please bring your own wine to complement your meal, we will not charge you any corkage and glasses will be ready on your

First time of booking here....it was fantastic,food was really good, cooked to perfection and presentation was really good. The waitresses where fantastic too. Will be going again in December!!

Everything was spot on. Table was nicely laid and the black table cloths looked great. Service was timely and waitress very polite. Food portions were generous, the steak was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Overall nothing to fault and very much look forward to returning.

What a lovely evening we had when we visited. The food was excellent and the pupils were amazing. Thank you DCCA and Mr C for making this happen.

The whole evening was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was to the highest standard, the waitresses were friendly, attentive and competent and the ambiance, lighting and music were perfect. We all had an evening that we definitely wish to repeat. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. A big thanks to all those involved.

We were a party of 8, we were well looked after from the moment we arrived until we left. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted really good. Well done everyone keep up the good work. We will be back soon.

This 'pop up' restaurant gives students at this school thier first real insight into catering/hospitality and they all certainly rose to the challenge. Polite and friendly service and a really well prepared and tasty menu. a absolute credit to the school.

We had an excellent evening at Le Hatch and would highly recommend going, what a great idea to give the students a chance to gain some experience. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal with tasty mocktails and great efficient service. The value for money is fantastic. We will return. Well done to all involved. Fantastic job.

This was our second visit and as always a very pleasant meal. Excellent food, well served and at a very reasonable price. We will of course be booking again when they start again in the autumn.

The food was amazing.. the pupils were brilliant , waitresses were lovely and asked if everything was ok and the drinks so so nice ..we had such a fab meal have told all our friends and family and will defo be back again ... well done to everyone involved
