Le Choupinet is a French restaurant - bar - brasserie - café located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, in the Odéon district at the crossroads of Boulevard Saint-Michel and Place Edmond Rostand. This establishment opposite the Luxembourg Gardens offers you specialties of French cuisine: snails, tartars, croque-monsieur... as well as drinks and cocktails, every day from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. the next day in a modern and trendy brasserie setting, indoors or on the terrace.
A welcoming green space dotted with touches of contemporary art. On the blind and a piano where, on certain evenings, musical jams are organized, it is the artist Alec Monopoly who has put his stamp. In the heights, sit Bearbrick figurines with the effigy of Garfield, Kiki, Tony... Everything contributes to creating a friendly atmosphere, carried by an anthology of good regressive memories.

This is a very good restaurant with nice comfortable and interesting ambiance. We loved their octopus dish and their coffee. The waiter and service was impeccable.

Food was pretty good. Lots of lively diners on the outside smoking. If you don’t smoke, I suggest inside.

Escargots. Steak Frites. Large Cesar salad. Glass of Sancerre. Bottle of Hermitage. Very pleasant server whose English was much better than my French.

there’s nothing wrong with this restaurant if you live in Paris and want to try something a little different. However, as tourists from America, we had one night in Paris and we were disappointed because this is not traditional French restaurant we were hoping for. It actually felt very much like an American chain, including American music. we ended up leaving and going to a traditional restaurant a few blocks away, which was very nice. ironically, the service at this particular restaurant was actually way better than the traditional French restaurant we went to. so again, I think if you actually live in France, you probably would enjoy this restaurant very much but if you are a masochistic tourist looking for the authentic rude French waiter, this is not your place

My group loved it! The server was very nice and accommodating. Food was fantastic!! The little bears were adorable and the atmosphere was great.

If you have a lot of time and patience this is a restaurant for you, orders take between 50 to 90 minutes to get serve

Tutto bellissimo e buonissimo. Una cena di capodanno perfetta. Il cameriere era super attento e cordiale. Ristorante preferito in tutta la vacanza a Parigi.

The food was delicious. My sons had the salmon and it was perfectly prepared. I had the onion soup which was rich and warm and I would highly recommend. My husband had the half chicken. The skin was crispy and the meat was tender and moist. The service was excellent and our server was lovely and very kind.

Booked as the only available restaurant at the given time slot. Not a good way to choose a restaurant. Seeing a mouse running beneath our table put a dampener on the meal. Staff were aware of a mouse problem in the restaurant.

Food menu reasonable value for money. Drinks menu did not have either low alcohol or zero alcohol options for beer or lager etc This shortfall in the service offer could be easily addressed by the management on both social and health grounds. Service attentive.

As we have observed on our vacation this year, most restaurants are under staffed. With saying that our server did a great job. We could she how many tables she had, and did her best to manage them all. With service included, she deserved the extra tip. Food was good, champagne and beer cold.

Arrived shortly after arriving in Paris. The perfect Parisian cafe. Service was fast. Great location on the circle. Near our hotel at Le Jardin Du Luxembourg.

Food was not very good,the ambience was great and the beverages were nice but otherwise would not recommend for dinner. The frog legs were the best part of all of our meals, so would recommend those.

Some of the food was very good (clams, chickens, carpaccio), some was just okay- beef tartare, Caesar salad. Drinks were good. Service was very slow and waitress was incredibly inattentive. We sat for 15 min waiting for water for example. There are other brasseries that are much better.

Unfortunately, a bad experience. Someone in our party ordered a salad and there was a large insect on it. When we reported it to the waitress her response was “sorry that’s what happens with a fresh salad”. Although the place was okay and were not charged for the salad, it was very disappointing and made us think about the cleanliness of this place. Would not return and would not recommend it to anyone.

Loved our experience & our waitress. If you have food allergies they not only have GF friendly options on the menu (the best GF pasta according to my daughter) but they are also knowledgeable about the ingredients and can accommodate you. Also, a menu that is in English & French makes ordering so much easier!

The ambiance was amazing, server was nice and knowing a little French went a long way. They were nice and flexible, the food was such a great value for your buck. They do let dogs in the restaurant though, but it didn’t bother us per-say. My friend said it was the best lamb chops she ever had!

After spending a lovely Sunday afternoon, strolling through the Luxembourg gardens we were greeted at the most perfect little Paris bistro. We were offered a seat inside the restaurant or out on the patio. We chose inside the restaurant as smoking is allowed at all Paris restaurants. And on the streets. Just not inside restaurants in buildings. Service was perfectly relaxed and casual. One thing I learned is that we as Americans expect our check as soon as the dishes are cleared. However, that is not the custom here in Paris. The white staff will allow you to sit and linger as long as you want without bringing you a bill. For the most part around town the wait staff will leave you alone unless you raise your hand and flag them down. We may consider that rude behavior in the states, but that is the preferred method here on the continent. The food is excellent Bistro fair. My son smashed his cheeseburger in seconds flat. My wife said the fish burger rivaled anything she has it in Hawaii. The shoestring fries were hot and crispy. I had the quarter chicken. It was moist and tender and came with light and fluffy potatoes and a savory sauce. Open table lists the dress code as business casual, but the vibe and dress code was way more casual. I may not ever make it back to Paris , but if I do I will definitely eat at Le Choupinet again.

Perfect spot to enjoy a quality lunch near the park and close to Latin Quarter! Sat on the patio, and tight tables and a smoking was only drag.

We had a wonderful dinner! Food was excellent and it’s not often you find frogs legs on the menu. Drinks were great and our server Valentina was excellent and absolutely lovely. We had a great time .

Fun place that you can goto if you are lonely and need company, they will supply a life size teddy bear to join you. Dinner should take a couple of hours. Super busy between 7:30-9:00pm. The bone marrow is a must!

The spot is eclectic, and has a unique charm. They have some high-end items on the menu. I struggled to enjoy my truffle butter, but saying that, I’m really not sure how they both keep it fresh and soft enough to use and so that did not affect my rating. We found medium rare in Paris to be anything but medium… And so we started ordering our steaks medium… And that worked well for us except at this location the steak arrived as well done. It was a good cut of meat and well seasoned and so it wasn’t the end of the world. The other problem I had is similar to many other places, they are likely understaffed through no fault of their own, and therefore service was abundantly slow. The quality of service was good, it just left us wanting throughout the evening. I would recommend this restaurant and I would go back a second time in hopes that the service and food consistency would go from 4 to 5 stars

A cosy plage but also very modern with art everywhere in the restaurant. I loved the typical French food. Koch cheaper than the French brasserie in the same area but the food was amazing

Wir haben einen tollen Tisch bekommen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Glutenfreie Option war super und sicher, kommen gerne wieder. Service Team war sehr aufmerksam und super nett!

essen mit freunden. das essen war sehr gut, preis/leistung ausgezeichnet. der service war bescheiden, nicht sehr aufmerksam und nicht sehr schnell. aber immer freundlich! leider waren die sanitären anlagen die schlimmsten, die ich in paris erlebt habe.

I did not love the giant teddy bear taking up room on our tiny table. The server was good once she got to us but it took a very long time for her to come to our table.

We had an excellent evening The food was great. By far the best restaurant we ate at in Paris. The atmosphere was magical and the service was incredible. Thanks to our waitress for her good advice and kindness. We will be back

It was terrible. Waiting 15 minutes for drinks to be ordered and then Another 30 for them to be brought to table. Had to ask for food menu even though we had reservation for dinner. Then was never asked what we would like. Finally asked for the check and was asked if we wanted to add a tip. Very dissatisfied
