Food was OK, not spectacular. Portions were very small considering the very high prices. $49 for three 1-1/2" diameter scallops?

Got the filet, it was the most tender piece of meat I’ve had in a long time, and it was cooked to perfect. Service was great, very friendly and prompt.

We were seated at least 15 minutes after our reservation time. Then, it took another 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table so that we could get glasses of water for the table or even order drinks. Because it is one of few decent restaurants in our town. We have been there a few times, and each time I leave feeling like I was taken advantage of. But, this was an all time horrible experience. If your kitchen is slow, and your wait staff is struggling, then don’t take anymore guests in. It is a simple equation. This was ridiculous, and we will never go back. Someone had spilled water all over the floor, silverware was dirty, and none of the wait staff nor the manager were sharp enough to recognize what was going on even after I said something to them a couple times. Food is sos so and it is way way way overpriced for what you get, but I knew that. What put me over the top was the horrible experience we had dealing with their people. QSR management and staff thinking they can play in the higher end restaurant game.

I got exactly what I wanted for Mother’s Day; a lovely evening out with my kids, a delicious, perfectly cooked steak and nice glass of pinot noir. I splurged and ordered the $12 bone marrow butter as an accoutrement and I’m glad I did. It was absolutely delightful. My son enjoyed the french onion soup as an appetizer and I had to admonish him for drinking down the last few drops out of the bowl. He said it was just that good. I had the caesar salad. It was quite good, but the filet was definitely the star of the show. They were busy, so the service was a little slow, but we were in no rush, so it was fine.

It’s hard on Mother’s Day for a buffet but the biscuits we rock hard, the gravy was like watered down soup, the potatoes were fried till they were as hard as cereal and the egg dishes lacked any real flavor. We got overcharged for a kid who was 12 but at full adult price and food selection was weak overall. I know this isn’t their main operation but it just wasn’t worth the money.
