The worst Italian foods I ever had. Waterly pasta like a soup noodles and the pizza was burnt like a charcoal. They tried to have excuses not letting me to use my itison voucher. I end up to pay the normal menu price.

2nd visit here and as good as before. Portion sizes of pasta adequate and presentation good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Amazing dinner here, we loved the amatriciano pasta and chicken & mushroom sauce with chips. The waitresses were so attentive and caring, food came fast. Great value. We would recommend anyone who comes to Edinburgh to have dinner at L’Artgiano

Came here with a voucher & thoroughly enjoyed the food. Nicely busy at lunchtime. The only thing to be improved was the service. It was not bad by any means but could be better. For example, a drink was not offered while we looked at the menu.

We enjoyed our second visit to L'Artigiana. The service is always friendly. We had requested a table by the window and there is was waiting for us. The food and the wine were excellent. Go with a big appetite as the pizzas are some of the largest I have ever seen! I had one with grilled aubergine and extra artichokes. Delicious. We would definitely go back.

First visit and we both really liked it. The menu is not too long but there is a good variety. Food was well prepared and we enjoyed the House Red.

My pasta dish was fine but my wife's parmigiana melanzane was cold. With 2 pasta dishes, olives, 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of red plus service the bill came to £70. That's too much to pay for 2 simple dishes and is caused by the extortionate cost of the wine. Hence, doubt we will return. Also there were some unsavoury characters milling around and not eating. The waiting team were very good though. Lastly the food came too quickly!

Great for a pre theatre lunch. Friendly efficient service. Excellent starters and good selection of mains, from pasta to chicken, and house red wine excellent value. We will be back.

8:30 booking confirmed, but altered by email 5 minutes later to 8pm. By chance I looked at my email again and in good time, but the sudden and significant change of time was at best inconvenient and resulted in somewhat of a scramble getting there on time from Leith. As I was parking at 8pm I received a call telling me there was no pizza on the menu. Whilst the food was good and staff very helpful the surrounding experience felt somewhat detached and chaotic.

Very convenient for public transort Comfortable welcomiing atmosphere with a mixed age group of guests Staff attentive but not pushy replaced water and napkins without being asked Choice of dishes was good reasonably priced and served quic kly One small criticism Food was served hot but the plates were cold and as a result food cold by end of course Will definitely return

Lovely atmospheric restaurant. This was a special family occasion (son's 21st birthday). Staff made us feel most welcome. Excellent food and drink. All in all a great experience. Will return.

Delicious roasted vegetable starter followed by one of the tastiest mushroom pizzas I have ever had. The pre-rugby atmosphere was great and the staff were efficient and cheerful despite the restaurant being so busy with many people eating on a schedule. It was our second visit and we look forward to many more.
