Lardo in Mexico City is known for chef Elena Reygadas' cooking of Mediterranean food from a wood burning oven. Diners are encouraged to share. We do not accept pets.

Lardo serves breakfast with egg dishes like croque madame and sandwiches. For dinner, choose from a number of small plates like ham, cheese and salads. There are also pastas, pizzas and grilled foods like octopus with chorizo, tuna, calamari, squid and beef. Desserts at Lardo include tiramisu and sorbets. A large attractive bar with excellent vintages along with the open kitchen provide a fun place to enjoy a meal.

We had high hopes for our meal here, based on the restaurant's reputation. Overall, we were disappointed. Wine prices are off the charts - more than $230 MX for a glass of wine! The entre described as "lamb kabobs" turned out to some type of taco and did not even taste like lamb. And charging $250 MX for essentially two tacos of just meat is excessive. The salad was drenched in dressing - and I like dressing, but this was too much. Service was lack-luster - the waiter kept forgetting my husband's beer. There are many great restaurants in this area with more reasonable prices and better food.

Been coming here on and off for five years. Laurels are definitely being rested on; in and out in 50 minutes feeling rushed and like we’d eaten the (delicious) food too quickly.

Friends recommended this place. The service was not great. Really wasn’t sure who was severing us. Different people kept coming asking the same questions. And with all the people coming up to the table they messed up our drinks and we had to wait a long time for them. I was Really disappointed because it was noted it was my birthday and they didn’t even acknowledge until my guess said something. The only positive thing was the food was good.

Fantastic evening. Hadn't had the opportunity to dine here since 2019, and am thrilled that the team is still providing a fantastic experience. Culinary, service, ambience, everything was fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough, especially if you are on the hunt for a delicious meal that's Mediterranean. Can't wait to come back!

I've been to Lardo three times, the most recent being 5/1/24 and I likely won't be back. While I enjoy the ambiance and find the service to be generally acceptable, I don't feel like the food is anything to write home about. Over time it seems as if the food has been watered down to something that is more acceptable for tourists. As a business decision it makes total sense, but as a Mexican-American, I'm a bit disappointed as I remember first being here about 3yrs ago and enjoying their food a lot more. I had the hummus as an appetizer and we had two pizzas (Pizza de cebolla morada, chile de árbol y queso parmesano AND Pizza de berenjena, queso ricotta y arúgula). I would rate all of these options a 3/5 as they could have each been better with a little more seasoning and attention.

The location and ambiance is the real star. It seems to be a favorite spot with ex-pats. The food and service was as you'd expect. Pizzas are personal size and you'd need a starter if you're hungry. The Paloma cocktail was a disappointment as it's a bottled mix that you self-pour to mix.

My fifth or sixth time here — and I’ll keep coming back. I love the service, the vibe, and, of course, the food. It’s perfect for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just make sure you book a reservation!

I always try to eat at Lardo when I’m in town. We were a little early for our reservation and I appreciated the host finding us a table. I brought a friend for her first visit. The food and service were excellent. Thanks for another great meal!

We order the croquetas and the arugula and artichoke salad to start, it was so good with the complimentary bread! The pizzas and eggplant also were delicious!

Lardo has always been on of our favorite restaurants when we visit Mexico City and we usually dine there at least once. I was unfortunately really disappointed last night. As soon as we were seated I made sure to inform the waiter that I have a severe gluten allergy and confirmed I would not be able to eat any dishes with gluten. Instead of the server helping inform me which dishes I could eat, I had to ask every time and then one dish I forgot to ask and had a bite and realized I forgot and asked and was informed it did in fact have gluten. I will likely dine there again in future visits, but didn’t love having to be vigilant when other restaurants (especially Contramar) went above and beyond to be super proactive in informing me of any potential allergies.

Wonderful! Quality of food is impeccable. Variety of dishes for every taste and level of hunger. Service was on point. Carrot cake with tarragon ice cream was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

Everything we ordered was delicious! We tried fried zucchini flowers, prosciutto bites, octopus, prawns, and pasta. Desserts were all delicious as well: hazelnut tart and avocado ice cream with chocolate mousse was a very unique and interesting combination. Beautiful space filled with green plants. Fast service. The place was packed on Monday night. We had a reservation, so check in was quick. Highly recommend!

Como siempre Lardo es un placer! El servicio muy ágil y cordial, la comida deliciosa. La flor de calabaza con ricotta, la berenjena asada y el arroz frito con mariscos de diez.

Everything is excellent and well priced. I’d like to see a better selection of Tequilas. There are many more and less expensive tequilas that are not under the Don Julio Herradura brand.

Went here for dinner on the evening we arrived. I had been here about a year ago and the restaurant remains one of my top favorites in the city. Mediterranean style cuisine with touch of Mexican flavors. Mescal margaritas were refreshing. Service is welcoming and congenial. Wonderful outdoor seating and relaxing ambiance.

The food was not that good. My lemonada was so sour and did not taste good. They told they didn’t have naranjada but brought it for the next person. The fish and dessert I had were not a good flavor.

Delicioso como siempre, nos encanta ese lugar desde que abrieron. Considero que pueden organizar mejor sus reservas y mesas. Llegué con reservación y aún así tuve que esperar a que me asignaran mesa. A pesar de eso, Lardo siempre 10/10.

Excellent meal with friends. Vibrant atmosphere. We enjoyed our meal tapas style and it was delicious . The pulpo tacos and burrata/tomato salad were especially delicious as were the desserts. Also yummy baba gannoush!
