    Came down to Houston for birthday celebration but was disappointed. Prices were more than listed online. Snapper was dry and was thin. Oysters were chewy. Had to ask waiter repeatedly for items. Didn’t get bread until dinner was almost done.

    Its obvious staff do not read requests in open table. Very slow service and mistakes in food and billing. Mgr did not receive correct info from waiter and wasted his time with points and not the issues. Meal ahoukd not take over 2 hrs which does not free up tables timely for other guests.

    We have dined here for years, especially on Mother's day. This year we made reservations two weeks in advance for our party of 10 for this occasion. We arrived a few minutes early, they had us wait 20 mins to put together a table big enough for us. It was two round tables squished together beside another huge party. It was so crowded we couldn't fit. We asked to move to the other EMPTY side of the room, they said no. They were only offering a limited Mother's day special menu. We had not been told this. We asked three different people if we could choose from the regular menu, they all said no. The waiter finally came after another 20 mins later to take our drink orders. He stood at the far end of the table and we had to yell out our orders, not sure why he didn't walk around to us. They were wrong when he brought them. As we are all looking at the menu, he came around and put the bread directly on the menus, completely blocking them. Not once, but twice as I moved it off. We said we were going to dine elsewhere as no one liked the special. He finally said, or you can order from the regular menu. After he had told us we couldn't. We said no thanks, he said fine, he'd bring the bill for our drinks. We all ordered non alcoholic drinks and didn't even drink them. He was just so rude. The manager came and apologized, did not charge us for the teas. He was polite and we did let him know about the waiter. It was such a hectic Mother's day. We did have to find a walk in restaurant last minute for such a big party. Not how we wanted to treat our moms and our out of town guests.

    We had an exceptional Mother's Day dining experience today. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. My server was polite, and the manager even greeted us.

    I have always enjoyed Landry's in the past. Only this time.. the food felt rushed and immensely under seasoned. RIBEYE. I requested medium well and received medium. I simply did not enjoy my experience this time around. The service was as well as it always has been, but I think I will branch out and choose other spots to explore!
