Le Lamberts Downtown Barbecue, situé dans le 2nd Street District du centre-ville d'Austin, au Texas propose des classiques texans modernes dans un bâtiment historique rénové de manière tendance. Il met l'accent sur des ingrédients frais locaux, de la viande et des produits naturels et des fruits de mer. Ce restaurant a créé le « Fancy Barbecue ». Le Schneider Store magnifiquement rénové situé à l'angle de Guadalupe et 2nd Street comprend une cuisine ouverte et une salle à manger au 1er étage. Il bénéficie en outre d'une terrasse. Le bar-salon à l'étage propose des concerts en soirée la plupart du temps et peut accueillir de grandes fêtes pour des événements privés. Depuis son ouverture en 2006, le Lamberts est apparu dans le Food & Wine, The New York Times, le Conde Naste Traveler et a été classé 4ème meilleur nouveau restaurant au Texas par le Texas Monthly.

Food, drinks and service was great. Our server did a great job of helping us order for the table. Noise level upstairs is somewhat high making it a little difficult to talk with a table of 6.

A cute date night for a couple from out of town that includes great BBQ and cocktails. A short walk from the bar bridge too.

The brisket is the best I’ve ever had. The avocado burnt ends queso is tremendous. The Mac n cheese is a great side. A really special place

Overall the food was very good. Some unique and tasty appetizers. However a ribeye ordered medium well was served medium rare and had to be sent back. Service was a bit slow on a busy Mother's Day. I was disappointed that we had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated.

Where to begin on this Mother’s Day outing? I made a reservation well in advance and the table intended for us was occupied by guests that had overstayed their allotted time. As a longtime Austin diner, it is customary to set the expectation that you can only have the table for X amount of minutes. Why this wasn’t enforced, who knows? The Hostess was super sweet and I didn’t want to take any of this out on her. We waited a bit, then settled for a four top in front of the kitchen line. Fine . Just limited on the surface area. The bartenders were fabulous before we were seated, as they always are and got us drinks. We waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to come by and greet and take our order. She was nice enough, but at 1:20 (with the delay of arranging where to sit) the kids were kind of hangry. Placed the order, and explained as politely as possible with the a no water request due to the size of our table and my desire for it to not end up knocked over on the floor. My children are well behaved and accustomed to dining out, it just seemed like an eventuality bc that is the day we were having. The lovely gal (not our waitress) came by with water and I think I caught her off guard with saying “oh, no thank you”. She froze and left the water , and I think I scared her. Not my intention , just trying to keep the kids entertained while we waited for the food. Food was good, but no one really came by to see how it was. If they had asked I would have politely shared my feedback Sunday. Additionally, I called and left a message with the restaurant expressing that I had feedback , because the experience was overall not acceptable for a variety of reasons on Monday. No call back and today is Wednesday. Trying to give leeway if they were closed or swampedA single one off , fine. I’m not expecting perfection. But it felt like three strikes and when you pay that much & make a reservation with it planned ahead. Just not acceptable.

Sat outside on the patio and had a quick lunch. It was the best steak I’ve had in Texas despite only being a hanger steak! The steak came with tomato, avocado and bbq onion slices and a chilli sauce butter that was fabulous! My partner had the burger that came with the best waffle fries ever. We shared the lime and cashew coleslaw which was fresh and crispy without being drowned in dressing. Best bbq experience in Texas

Service was slow. The server was not attentive and forgetful. The food was overpriced and the queso dip with burnt ends had very little brisket in it.

Brisket too dry. Was recommended by several so disappointing. Mac & cheese good. Extremely loud during lunch.
